Fun trip with children - even Teens!
lug 2019
What a fun park for a family with children! Great for just one entry price per person into the park allows you to go on all the water slides, use the Tarzan swings and even use the kayaks and paddle boards. You can bring your own chairs and umbrella or canopy or you can rent them. $60 for canopy and 2 chairs for the day. Nice sandy beach. During water or sun breaks, there is corn hole, table tennis, Jenga and more that is available at no charge. Concession stand or bring in your own food. Picnic area. Great place to hold a birthday party too! Many many lifeguards watching to keep everyone safe.

First time visit
lug 2019 • Famiglia
My husband and I took our two teenage boys (18 & 15) to Fantasy Lake yesterday. We bought our tickets from Groupon. We had a great time. Our boys loved the slides and the Tarzan ropes. It was great being able to walk in the sandy bottom lake without worrying about sea creatures, lol. It was not overly crowded and the parking is free. We were allowed to bring our cooler in even though they do have a deli there. We were also allowed to bring our beach chairs in. They have tons of rentals (umbrellas, chairs, floats....), but I love that they allow you to bring your own items in to keep the cost down if you want. I read a negative review about the water color. Yes, it is a bit green. You have to remember that it is not the natural ocean. The water is treated and appeared clean from trash and debris. Where else can you go to a lake that's treated? At knee deep water, you can still see down to your feet. Lifeguards were professional and kind. It was a great day trip from Raleigh. We'll definitely go back.

Fabulous time!

What a great place! My kids agreed that it was way more fun than wet and wild! No lines - at least on a Tuesday. Great for grown ups that are not interested in the slides because of the kayaks, paddle boards and the ability to swim around and watch the kids do their thing.
Lifeguards were awesome - friendly and polite. Even though it is and hour and fifteen minutes away we are going to get season tickets and keep coming back!

This was a really fun water park. I’m not a fan of lake water... but I even got in. The bottom is sand and you can see the bottom in shallow water. All ages can enjoy this park. You can bring in your own cooler too which can be a plus! Check their website for their dates of operation.

Great summer fun

Fantasy Lake is not your glitzy water park that we are used to these days but it is well maintained and still a great day full of fun. They have lots of water activities for all ages. The snack bar pricing is reasonable and they allow you the option of bringing your own food and coolers.

Loved every minute
ago 2018 • Famiglia
Took a group of kids, ages 10-13 and they all loved it! I liked that I felt safe letting them go from attraction to attraction without me having to handhold, because all the slides are centrally located, I could see them from the shore, and there's lifeguards everywhere keeping everyone safe. All 4 kids loved the paddleboards the best. After spending $150+ earlier this year to go to Wet'n'Wild(a large, commercialized water park) to just stand in line all day, where we couldn't even take our chairs or food, this place was a welcome relief. I LOVE that I could bring our food and drinks, chairs and umbrellas. I will definitely be coming back next year.

I highly recommend going to Fantasy Lake. It's so much fun for little kids, teens, and adults. Very affordable $16 per adult, $10 for children, and free for 3 and under. We went on a Thursday and stayed all day and never had to wait in any lines, we went again on Saturday and although it was definitely busier we still never waited more than 5 minutes for any of the attractions. You can bring in all your on food, drinks, coolers, chairs, floats, sand toys, and canopies. The only things that they don't allow are alcohol and weapons (they do bag/cooler searches at the gate). To feed our large party we ordered Domino's Pizza and had it delivered to the park :)

Really fun time with two non-swimmers.
giu 2018 • Famiglia
My family went here this past weekend. The kids are 5 and 8. They are both starting to swim, but are not swimmers yet. The kids' section for ages 11 and younger was great. They have different depths to accommodate different age/height kids. In the kids' section, they had zip lines, tarzan swings, baby swings, and slides. The 5 year old would have stayed on the zip lines all day. There is also a small kayak section with short (maybe 5 feet?) kayaks that are perfect for the kids. The only problem with the kayaks is that there are no short kayak paddles, so kids end up using paddle board paddles, which are totally different.
The paddle boards are for 48" and up, so my 8 year old was tall enough, and he loved it. He was also able to go on the green slides (very fast) and the yellow slides (five year old also went on yellow slides). He had a blast.
Besides the attractions my kids could go on, there was a lot for stronger swimmers. Tarzan swings into 10 feet of water, slides that stopped several feet above the water, diving boards, a jump station. To me it seemed like there was plenty to do to keep a teenager having fun.
It's true there is no shade. We rented a cabana for $20, with $20 returned when we brought it back. Totally worth it, and cheap compared to big waterparks. The snack bar has limited choices, but prices are reasonable.
The water was super warm and not very refreshing, but it's in the 90's and the kids' section is anywhere from 1'8" to 3'8", so there isn't much they can do about that.
The kids are already asking if we can go back, and I'm sure we will.
