“Could have been a great waterfall in rainier years”

Potrebbe essere stato uno spettacolo da vedere, ma quando l'abbiamo visitato, il volume dell'acqua si era ridotto a pochi fili a causa della siccità. Anche il parcheggio davanti alla cascata è abbastanza grande per solo 2 auto piccole.

“Waterfalls right in town”

Ci sono quattro cascate dentro e intorno a Mountour Falls, e questa è proprio vicino al centro. Ci sono panchine e alcune informazioni storiche. È facile trovare parcheggio gratuito in strada. A solo un isolato di distanza, su Main Street, c'è il North New York Cafe, un ottimo posto dove prendere un caffè, prodotti da forno, bevande fredde e trovare un bagno.

Could have been a great waterfall in rainier years

This might have been a sight to behold but when we visited, the volume of water had thinned to just a few threads because of the drought. Also the parking in front of the waterfall is only big enough for 2 small cars.

Wasserfall ist schön anzusehen, wenn man schon in der Nähe ist.
Liegt im netten Ort Montour Falls.
Kann auch Abends angesehen werden, da er beleuchtet wird.

Waterfalls right in town

There are four waterfalls in and around Mountour Falls, and this one is right near downtown. There are benches and some historical information. It's easy to find free on-street parking. Just a block away, on Main Street, is North New York Cafe, a great place to pick up a coffee, baked goods, cold drinks, and find a bathroom.

Beautiful falls, spectacular on a sunny day after there has been a lot of rain or spring runoff. On street parking close by. Very little walking all on sidewalks. Located right in village of Montour Falls, NY.

Beautiful falls You can park on street directly in front to take pictures or get out and walk the short distance to a wall to get closer pictures. Several benches to sit and reflect

Beautiful falls to visit to take pictures, a couple of benches to sit on but that is all. The little park was very well kept and a nice place to stop

These falls are visible from the road. Right is town surrounded by houses. There is a small parking area. You can take pictures from the parking area or walk a few mins up to the falls. Worth a visit.

Relaxing Spot - Always Stop Here

Have stopped here scores of times over the years when visiting the Finger Lakes area. Never disappoints in providing a relaxing experience. Just drive west into town (not much of a town per se) as far as you can go. Not much else to see/do in Montour Falls but you’ll love hearing the waterfalls and agree with other posters here how cool it would be to have these falls in your backyard. Benches available to sit and relax. But, yes, it is a waterfalls so if rainfall is low, the waterfalls won’t be flowing hard. Can’t change that.

Nice view of the falls we got this spring

That's a nice view of the falls we got this spring. Some people haven't had water in the summer, but when it's spring and the snow is melting, that's fine. We had an interest in seeing her due to the introduction of the Aurora Teagarden series. So we made a detour to see it, and frankly I would have stayed longer to continue seeing it.
