Nice mall in Ghana, up to standart with any average mall in the world, great shops inside, you find clothes, makeup, pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants and souvenirs. Highly recommend. Didn’t have any problems with anyone, and easy to get a taxi back to the hotel in Kokrobite (30cedis)

We have had extremely bad experiences in this mall. The security is extremely aggressive towards white people. I recommend every tourist to avoid this mall if at all possible. Especially if you are white and want to avoid problems. For those interested, the full story follows below.
We were on our way back from a long trip on 18.10.2021. We decided to stop at this mall in the evening and enjoy dinner there. On arrival, I had to go to the toilet. On the way back from the toilet, I accidentally ran into a disinfectant dispenser. As a result, the dispenser wobbled a bit. Immediately, the first security was there, but he immediately said, don't worry, it's defective. When we wanted to go on to the restaurant, several other security guards held us back and the security chief was called. This was followed by a 1.5 hour long argument. The security then accused me of deliberately breaking the dispenser and that I had to pay for a new one. I had to pay 150 cedis. As it was an accident, I refused to pay this amount, as the dispenser had obviously been broken before. I then went to the opposite dispenser to check its condition. When I checked the second dispenser, I found that it was fixed with welded seams and the one I had stumbled over did not even have welded seams and must therefore have been broken before. This advice was not taken into account. The request to check the surveillance video was not answered either. After countless requests to check the surveillance video, this was done and I was then accused of deliberately running into the disinfectant dispenser. After more arguments and interference from other customers, we agreed that the contact details of our Ghanaian companion had been exchanged and that we could clarify this with the mall manager the next day. We then went to the restaurant and thought everything was settled. After the meal, unfortunately, a nasty surprise followed. The entire security unit blocked our way and physically threatened us. When we managed to escape to the car, we saw that our car was blocked with a car claw. A violent confrontation ensued which even required the intervention of the police. Unfortunately, since the policeman was there on behalf of the mall, he was not allowed to actively intervene and told me not to pay and to go to the police the next day.
We then had to organise 2 taxis at 23:00 in the evening, which cost us a total of 300 cedis.
The next day we went to the police, and together with the police we went to the mall. Despite everything, the security chief still insisted on payment. Of course, the security guards had already dismantled all the evidence, so it was impossible to trace the defect. Fortunately, we took photos that evening, which I was able to show to the police. Further discussions and preservation of evidence by the police followed. Later, the mall manager joined us and insisted on paying for it. At this point, the security chief still kept the surveillance video under lock and key, even though I pointed it out several times that day. When the police officer insisted on seeing it, it was also shown to the mall manager. After seeing the video, the mall manager was convinced that it was an accident and that the disinfectant dispenser could not be broken by tripping. From then on, the mall manager was clear that it was an accident, but that we would have to pay for the security and management's troubles. I mean, what the hell is this? Now I also have to pay for the time the security had to spend to accuse me of something? But despite the video, the security chief insisted that I had broken the thing on purpose.
After the confrontation on the spot, we all had to go to the police station. The police officer pointed out to the mall operators several times that their behaviour was wrong and that they would lose in a court case, but they still stuck to their opinion.
In the end, we fortunately didn't have to pay anything, but we were also left with our expenses (300 cedis). I am aware that if I had paid these 150 cedis, I would have got off cheaper. But in my opinion, such behaviour towards customers is not acceptable at all and I am glad that I didn't have to pay them anything at all, I would rather begrudge the 300 cedi's to the taxi drivers, who also don't understand such behaviour.
Up to that point, I lost a whole day of my holiday because the mall security accused me of vandalism and then I had to spend several hours at the police station. Up to that point, no one even asked me how I was, because I could have been seriously injured in that fall....
To this day, I have not even received an apology, neither from the mall operators nor from the security who were also asked to do so by the police officer. On the contrary, they secretly left through the back door after losing the dispute. We could have taken the case further to court and could have claimed damages, but we decided against that, because in my opinion it would not change the attitude of the mall operators and I don't want to receive money from someone who doesn't value his customers.
I mean, what kind of behaviour is that towards foreign visitors who come to a country to travel and get to know it and then, despite proving their innocence, make such a fuss even though they know they are in the wrong? The whole thing was simply about them seeing, oh these are white people and they have money.
In a mall that boasts the slogan "A Happy Place", the customer should be king, no matter what colour they are, rich or poor, and not just a white patsy to take money from.

This Mall doesn't disappoint. You will literally find anything you want inside this finely constructed Mall; clothes, gadgets, furniture, bedding etc. If you are in a wheelchair, shopping will be a thrill likewise without a wheelchair cos the place was constructed to accommodate everyone!. As usual, Shoprite and the Game are on both corners of the mall. NewYork sizzler is a restaurant worth grabbing a bite at on the top floor close to the movie theater. There is a roof terrace dedicated to smokers and non-smokers. A truly beautiful mall indeed.

We stopped here on our way from Winneba to Accra. Biggest mall we went to in Ghana. It has many stores, restaurants, a supermarket and lots of parking. I bought clothes and souvenirs and my son enjoyed ice cream at the Pizza Inn Chicken Inn restaurant. Apparently there is a cinema too. I wish I could have gone back but it’s near Weija, a little bit out of town.

This has to be the largest mall I have visited. It has everything. Also an enclosed play area for kids. It’s quite a drive from the city center though. But worth the drive.

This Mall is quite large and has your typical Shop rite brand, other south African brands, gifts and specialty shops, electronics stores, banks, film theater, bureau De change, restaurants, kiddies playground and ample parking space. Perfect for a family time out and some shopping.

While staying in Accra for 2 wks from 15/11/17 to 29/11/17 and staying in my hotel close to Accra Airport some of the staff suggested I visit West Hills Mall, arranging a taxi for both directions Cedi 87.00 return on Sunday 19/11/17. Went with a friend & on first arrival the Mall looks very modern, however I personally didn't feel their were many eye catching stores or shops to write home about & somewhat disappointing considering what I had paid in taxi fares to visit the Mall. Called into a couple electronic shops & refreshments & snacks inside Second Cup Cafe. Spent around 90 mins inside the Mall before returning to my Hotel. Need I say I didn't return for a second visit.

This mall is actually bigger than Accra Mall but doesn't have the crowd. I think because of where Accra Mall is located. It's very similar to the Accra Mall (see review) and there is a movie theatre located here as well.

They sure do. The Game has hyperbolic in 2.5kg (big bucket and big saver), creatine, protein supplements etc. Shoprite ought to have same. They are the two largest stores at the West Hills Mall. The Mall gat everything just pay them a visit and see for yourself.
Scritta in data 7 maggio 2019
It's always below 50 gh cedis and not more than 100 gh cedis per ticket across all movie theaters in Accra. Hence a budget of 150gh cedis can cater for two as well as buy 1 soda and 1 pop corn with butter on it. Cheers!!
