You must arrange for a guide in advance via the park's office as you run the risk fo getting lost along the way. We did the hike to the dual waterfalls from Logwaja view point. A low clearance, 2WD vehicle was sufficient to get there but the guide had to get out and assist in directed us around the last half kilometer or so, so be prepared.
There are plenty of herbivores in the park so, if you are lucky, you'll be able to see some elusive eland, the largest of antelopes.
Hike time in total was about 5 hours - start as early as possible as you descend and then ascend back.

Amazing is the only words i can think of this nature reserves is on top of mountains and has spectacular views the chalets have cozy fire place and camp grounds are private and cozy camp bathrooms are super clean

La ballade jusqu'aux chutes et aux trous d'eau est assez longue.
Il faut 45 minutes d'approche en 4x4.
Des étendues de savane a perte de vue, des animaux zèbres, phacochères, gazelles, babouins,...
Prendre un pic nic pour les chutes.
Possibilité de baignade

The Malolotja Reserve has it's own unique beauty compared to the other SNTC or BGP reserves in the country. The canopy tour is highly recommended. Cost is E695 per person which includes a bottle of water afterwards as well as sandwiches at the restaurant. The trip is well organised, extremely safe and well worth it for the views. Total time approximately 3 hours. Highly recommended.

Up in the hills, weather is not the same here as in the rest of the country. Check if there are storms, especially lightning as it takes many victims in this country & walking on the side of a lightning storm is less than ideal. Take a photo of the map, though it is not so helpful as some of the trails are not well marked or groomed. We tried this park twice. First time to the water fall but were told it was a loop, which it wasn't. This made the trail a bit confusing as we tried to find the "loop". Another trail was not well marked or groomed that it was meant to loop but we lost it half way through. Still a great place to visit with the right car. Roads are ok but hard on a regular car. And please check the weather before you go

Ik geef ze 1 ster voor de natuur! Onvriendelijk personeel alsof ze de toeristen tegen hun zin verder helpen! We kwamen toe en er stond een dame achter de toonbank. Ze geeft een gelaten indruk en geeft geen uitleg! Ze wijst naar een kaart op het natuurgebied. We vragen of het te doen is met een stadswagen. Ze geeft meermaals aan dat dit lukt tot aan het eerst punt. We vertrekken en ondervinden snel dat dit met een stadwagen NIET te doen is, gezien je nergens kan draaien moesten we verder. Er lagen grote stenen bloot waardoor we meermaals met de bodemplaat tegen de stenen sloegen! Aangekomen op het eerst punt begint u wandeling. Ten eerste is de weg ZEER slecht aangegeven. Op een gegeven moment komen we op een splitsing. Je kan 2 wegen nemen. Eentje was afgesloten wegens de vald ibis vogel die aan het nesten was==> aangegeven met trail closed. We namen de andere weg en verdwaalden compleet. Terug gedraaid en aan de receptie gevraagd wat de weg was. Blijkbaar was de onvriendelijke dame vergeten te zeggen dat je door de gesloten weg moest wandelen! Veel tijd verloren, inkom betaald voor niks en een geluk dat de auto niet stuk is geraakt.
Wanneer je de verantwoordelijke van het park wilt spreken, sturen ze je wandelen! Vreselijke ervaring!

We really liked the camp site, nicely spread out. We were a big family group so we set up camp around the stone walled boma, The ablution are a little old but still neat and clean. The hot water comes from a wood fired boiler.
They have a small restaurant were we ordered toasted sandwiches.
They have abundant wildlife and many hikes to keep your busy, we book yourselves on the Canopy zip line tour, good fun.

It was a very foggy morning as we drove over to the Malolotja Nature Reserve, one of the country's premier, scenic natural attractions, and we were worried what visibility would be like.
It was foggy, but it kind of added to the atmosphere.
We had stopped at the visitor's center, and they'd given us a map and informed us where we would be able to travel without 4WD. There were limited roads for only 2WD, but we were told that there were a couple of roads we could take to get to viewpoints. It didn't take much driving to realize these were still pretty ambitious roads for only 2WD.
We tried to push on to the viewpoint, but with the roads worsening and ever larger rocks along the path, we kept worrying about getting stuck. We decided to reverse and turn around on the narrow pathway, but the car kept stalling. We thought it might be better to push through going forward until we found a wider spot that might better enable us to turn around. This was more successful, but we found ourselves back at the same spot, and our little Hyundai i10 couldn't make it through. I was literally about to the point where I was considering walking back to try and get help, but with a little more effort, we finally were unstuck. Little did I know that was just the beginning of our eSwatini troubles...

Good day. Can anyone advise how to book accommodation at the log cabins in the Malolotja Nature Reserve? I could not find anything online. Also struggling to get through to the canopy tours, advice will be appreciated?

The roads to the gate and then onto the main reception were good. We were in a mini van and this coped well. When we completed the zip wire attraction we went in one of the reserves 4 wheel drive vehicles and the roads were not as good, washed out a bit here and there from the rains. Hope that helps?

Hi, I want to know if motorbikes are allowed at Malolotja Nature Reserve? It will be only for overnight stay....We will be a group of approximately 6 to 8 people with 4 or 5 motorbikes touring Swaziland from Oshoek Border post to Barberton border post?
