We just come back today from conch bar and have an update for those who planning to go
First price went up again to $35 so for family of four you will need to spend $140 which in my opinion is way too much
And if you decided to go be aware of millions of mosquitoes around the area

We made a day trip to Middle and East Caicos on a Sunday, unfortunately, as the Conch Bar Caves are closed on that day of the week. So, this review covers the Indian Cave, just a short distance up the road, and well worth the stop even if the Conch Bar Cave is open. The Indian Cave is also free. It is a short walk from the road by footpath. The interior of the cave is impressive for its hanging vines and solution openings in the roof. As usual for TCI natural history, there is no signage explaining the natural history of Indian Cave, how karst processes lead to cave formation, etc. Read the reviews in advance and do a little research on cave formation if you're interested.

Like another reviewer, I, too, have visited caves all around the world (most recently the Congo Caves in South Africa). However unlike that reviewer, I enjoyed the fact that the caves were in their natural state, complete with bats. There are no handrails - be sure to wear appropriate footwear - or artificial lighting. The guide provides each visitor with a much needed torch and provides an interesting commentary.
The $30 fee seemed a little on the high side but the caves are well worth a stop.

It was ok, fairly interesting and one of only a couple of attractions on Middle Caicos. We showed up just as they were opening concerned that we didn't have reservations but they weren't necessary. Not sure if they would have been important later in the day. Cost was $30, not the $20 we expected. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly but very heavy accent and difficult to understand.

I have been to various caves around the world and this one is nothing. It is grimey, poor paths, with a mumbling guide with a strong accent. You walk around with a flashlight and the guide is poorly informed and cannot answer any questions. Way overpriced too.

Showed up with a group of 8 and was told that the price had just gone up from 20$ a person to $30 a person. No idea if this was really the case or if the worker on duty was just trying to rip us off. Wouldn’t budge on price at all.
The cave is fine and the tour guide was nice. For $20 I would say it’s maybe worth it if you’ve come all that way, but definitely not a $30 tour as it’s probably only 45 minutes long max.

Park is managed by the National Trust and is gated but open public during regular business hours. Thankfully the staff at Dragon Cay Resort advised us to make reservations and take cash for admission since they don't have electricity on site and cannot do card payments.
It's a great guided tour lasting about 30 minutes with incredible views throughout. The cave has few dark areas but the guide will have a light but it is mostly open around the cave exterior. Bring mosquito spray as the road and area outside can be troublesome.

Phenomenal experience! Worth taking the ferry to see. Jennifer was so informative and had such a positive disposition. We were pleasantly surprised that the amount of mosquitoes significantly diminishes when entering the caves. It was exciting for the small children that we had with our group when she had us turn off our flashlights for a second to get a feel for what it was like in the dark. So cool! Highly recommended, I would recommend wearing something other than flip-flops though. I wore Keen sandals and was very pleased with my choice in footwear due to unsteady ground.

I’ve never been in a cave and this was pretty cool to visit and to learn more about caves.
My only drawback was this was included in a tour I booked, we were a tad bit off schedule so our stop here was a little short. Outside of that, this was awesome to see.

Do you have to book the cave tour in advance or can you just show up? I thought you had to call in advance because someone is not always at the cave is that correct? Thanks!

Are there taxis available where the ferry drops you off and how far a ride to get to the cave? Are their bathroom facilities near the cave where you pay? Thanks!!

I'm not aware of taxis . You would to arrange a rental car with your hotel. The Caicos are spread out and a lot to see so a taxi would be very expensive . And if you're only going over to see the caves you are wasting a day of adventure. The cave tour is maybe 20 mins - half hour. I am unaware of bathrooms we did not ask. Map out place to stop at the Caicos and rent a car. Pay attention to landmarks to get back , do not rely on gps. There are a lot of roads unmarked. Leave at least an hour to get back to ferry from Bambara beach which is the furthest point.
