Lovely and amazing views! The Monkey God statue is marvellous! A tough walk for a couch potato like me but the view is worth it.

Sam Hill and Bukit Gondol Hike near to Sak Dato Temple.
Park near to Sak Dato Temple in Broga an open space.
Toilets available onsite at Sak Dato Temple.
A short walk on tar road and then turn into trekking path.
A couple of loops trails available for selection so you can choose your poison.
Estimated 1-2 hours for short hike and can go longer if you do the entire area.
Not recommended for kids as quite a bit of scrambling and challenging elevations.
Some parts are not covered so bring your bucket hat or get your neck sun tanned.

A temple with 140years history with the world Guiness record of the tallest monkey god statue in Malaysia
You’ll find the main temple at the foot of the hill, and the largest statue of Monkey King, or Sun Wukong, in Malaysia at the top of the hill. The main temple are connected with a open air bridge to the hill heading to hill too for the statue
Worth the visit there with your family as we came here with a toddler and baby in stroller and had a good walk after early dinner

Enjoyed our visit here, out in the countryside, up in the hills. A lovely site with colourful and impressively designed gardens and temples. And a nice bridge across the valley to lead to the monument. Glad to have visited.

Come here early for hiking and inhale fresh air you can't find in the city. Take along mosquito repellent in case you need it.

We do visit the temple and the main attraction being the suspension bridge. Crossing it means hiking up the hill to the huge Monkey God statue. Every year during the Chinese New Year, the room beneath the statue will have a water curtain. Crossing into it and you have to do the customary 3 circles of clock wise and counter clock wise for luck.
The area at the top of the temple have plenty of statues for phototaking and this thrills the kids.
That apart, the area surrounding the temples have a lot of stalls selling fruits, drinks and much more.
All in all a good recreational visit and don’t forget the many restaurants in the nearby area.

There is a lot of walking up and down so make sure you have comfortable shoes on. The temple is interesting to wonder around but the most amazing thing is the giant size Monkey that looks out over the area thats been built on top of a hillside. You have to walk across a suspended wire bridge and then up a road to the Monkey. The day I was there some people had set up stalls and were selling plants and other items from the back of cars and vans. its a interesting and something different to see and great for the photographer in you. If your hungry when you leave drive down to the bottom of the road and there is a restaurant on the Right hand side where the food is quite good and ample parking. Also when you are leaving the area down the road on the left hand side is an animal farm but if you love animals it will sadden you to see how poorly they are treated and disturbing the cages they are kept in.
Remember to have a comfortable pair of shoes as the walking is quite a lot and steps to negotiate. There is places to buy drinks if required. Keep hydrated.

Was doing day trip arround broga and semenyih area. My folks love it here.
U need to walk up few stairs, it will be quite tiring for old folks but they provides sitting area in between of the stairs. When you reach the top, you can see a bridge, just like the mini penang bridge that links to the other hill. The other hill, you need to hike about 10-15mins to see the top. At the top, you will find the legendary huge monkey king statue overlooking the broga areas. For me, its a hidden gem and definately worth the visit.
