This was not the way I thought my experience would end. The Wharf Miami has been such a fantastic place to visit on the weekends, to celebrate my birthday, my friends birthdays and to recommend to hundreds of friends and tourists throughout the decade I've lived here.
Unfortunately, the last experience myself and my friends had was absolutely terrible.

I made a table reservation for a friends birthday and it was NEVER explained to me that all of her 10 guests must be present together and that we had a 15 minute gace period instead of a 30 minute grace period that I was originally told.

Once we were sat, it took 1.5 HOURS to finally receive bottle service (not exaggerating). Myself and 2 other girls (including the birthday girl) had to go up to the hostesses in the front to ask why we hadn't received any service. They were absolutely surprised and couldn't believe it themselves. They profusely apologized each time we went up to them and said they'd send someone over immediately. After going up to them 3 times, we were super frustrated so I finally found a floor Manager named Lauren who was very understanding, kept apologizing, asked for me to come speak with her at the end of the night and promised to send over a server immediately. We finally received service, but the server explained that he wasn't even supposed to be our server. Regardless, everything was finally good, so we thought.

After ordering (5) bottles and a bucket of beers, we were presented with the check at the end of the night. The server had a small handheld tablet that he showed to two of us in the party (1 being the birthday girl) and he was asked for a copy of the receipt as well. He continued to say ", but here look at it here". We were never asked to sign the bill, approve of any additional tip or even received a copy of the bill.

I was very upset that my friend (the birthday girl) didn't have the great experience I promised after I recommended The Wharf to her and her friends from out of town and we all ended up having such a terrible experience. I ended up waiting to speak with the same Manager, Lauren because she had mentioned to do so earlier. I explained the entire experience from the initial conversation I had with who booked the table to the very end with the server. She also profusely apologized for everything and continued to invite us back for Halloween night (the next day). We thanked her for her time, understanding and offering to make it right after everything we went through. I thought that was very professional and extremely kind of her.

Once I arrived home, I saw that there was an additional $300 charge I did not approve of. After speaking with everyone from the group, we found out that the sever Tipped himself an extra $300 that was NOT APPROVED. You can imagine how upset this made me and the birthday girl. I contacted Lauren on her personal number she provided regarding the new reservation for Halloween night to make sure it was booked and asked if we could speak about the previous bill from the night before. Once we arrived, she and her team were on point and ready to provide us a great experience, which they did. We had an awesome time and she even took care of 1 bottle we ordered, which was extremely kind. We made sure to take care of our server, get a copy of the receipt and sign for the bill. That experience was 100% better than the night before.

I ended up going home and she reached out to me the next day saying she hoped that the experience was much better. I responded that it was awesome and thanked her so much. After a few days, I messaged her to confirm that the refund will come through in 7-10 business days and surprisingly I received a "failed" to send message. Meaning I believe she blocked me. I ended up reaching out to her on Whatsapp and finally received a response with a confirmation. I thanked her and trusted she would take care of it. This was on NOVEMBER 3RD. I followed up on Nov 20th and she responded saying that she will look into it. I followed up again on the 21st and 22nd, and she blatantly saw all of my messages but completely ignored me. I explained that I never received a refund and that I just wanted to follow up on the refund SHE OFFERED.

Now it's November 27th and still no word. So I did the last thing I wanted to do and disputed the charge plus am writing this extremely detailed review.

This is still shocking and very disappointing because I've been a very loyal and understanding guest for a decade and the fact that this happened is super disheartening. I hope no one has to go through the headache I did.

Lastly, I am also a Manager at a large retaurant and personally deal with refunds. I would communicate with them clearly and would absolutely not leave a guest in the dark. Communication is key and I would NEVER ignore the guest when I promised I'd fix the issue or them.

went on friday night for 4th july pre celebration

Had a great time - even though a little over priced its a great spot to see the sun down and have a few beers.

The staff on the small side bar were awesome - a nice mix of people

will be back

Vinimos un grupo de amigos a ver el grandprix FI , el lugar nice, los tragos buenos y la gente que atiende muy amable ; pero la música a un volumen insoportable tenía audiculares para escuchar la carrera y el volumen tan alto y sólo musics latina de un gusto muy peculiar no había variedad , lastima no se podía disfrutar de la carrera con ese audio y estilo tan fuerte. Podrían haber subido el volumen después de la carrera y sería aceptable , no recomiendo si quieres disfrutar de algún evento en especial sea una carrera o ufc;etc en tu casa lo verás mejor. No hay tacto para el costume que está mirando las pantallas , no en mood de baile. Es una lástima por que podría ser un lugar nice pero se tornó en una tortura 🤦‍♀️

Came we say fun.. the Dj just needs to play a little better music.. free to get in the line gets long quick parking right next door pay by plate lots of food trucks

I left my review back in July after no one responded to my efforts to resolve the issue privately. To this day, (11/3/2021), no one from the management team has called or emailed me. I have tried reaching out mr. DeSotto twice via message after he responded to my message (which took leaving a review to get management’s attention).
This has been such a negative experience I can only do my due diligence and make sure everyone knows how little the wharf cares about their loyal costumers.

I have reached out to hello@wharfmiami.com twice already, and personally messaged the listed general manager, Mr. DeSotto, via TripAdvisor. I have not received a response to date. Please read through to be aware of the ill-practice of this institution.

All of my previous experiences at the wharf have been great. My boyfriend and I would frequent here at least once a month. But after July 3rd, I will never again set foot at this place.
We decided to rent a party bus for a friend’s birthday. The bus dropped us off about a block away from the Wharf. As we know, entrance to the wharf is free (please don’t let any bouncers tell you otherwise). However, once we arrived at the entrance and the bouncer present asked if we came from the party bus, the bouncer stated that there was an “agreement with the party bus coordinator and the Wharf that anyone that gets dropped off must pay $50 a person to enter”. We explained to the bouncer that we weren’t aware of this, but he then put us aside as though we were less than the rest of the people entering the institution. Please note I have purchased tables in the past and am aware of the $50/person policy (which we were planning on doing for the night anyway), but this was for general admission. We looked through the contract that was signed for the party bus to verify if there really was any written agreement, but lo and behold there was nothing stating that persons using said bus are required to pay $50 admission for the wharf. A couple of the girls and I asked if we could at least use the restroom, but they denied entry until we paid. I feel scammed and discriminated. This was a ludicrous requirement that was not discussed by the party bus coordinator, nor was it spelled out in writing. What other shady business practices are these people doing? I never would have thought that the Wharf, a place that was once my watering hole for happy hours and delicious mojitos, would treat me like this. They lost 15 loyal costumers that night.

Dear Christina, first and foremost, we are very sorry to learn about your experience with the party bus. Every guest of The Wharf deserves to be treated with respect, and we apologize that you felt treated otherwise on this occasion. You have clearly been a longtime supporter of ours, and we greatly appreciate your loyalty. We have messaged you privately in the hopes to talk this through the situation with you further. That said, we do want to take the opportunity to share our policy regarding party buses: Due to a substantial history of people arriving highly intoxicated from party buses, we have discouraged people arriving to The Wharf Miami via party buses; hence the $50 per person admission fee. This policy was made due to: Liability & putting our establishment in jeopardy Protecting our guests safety Guaranteeing a positive experience for the patrons inside our venue On the night of your visit, this policy was in place; however, since then we have decided to implement a stricter policy to NOT allow admission to anyone coming from a party bus. This policy is being enforced for the same reasons stated above. We will be adding the policy on party buses to our website shortly so future customers do not have the same situation that you did. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope you will reconsider and visit us again (in a taxi or Uber).

I was there last night Saturday 06/19/2021 for the first time and I had such a horrible experience with one of the food trucks not sure if they are independent contractors but since this is inside of your facility you guys get to have the blame. The tacos food truck horrible customer service that old lady looked like she hated her job. I ended up throwing the food away and left I didn’t even wanted to tried it. That’s how bad the customer service was coming from her. I which i know the name of the food truck.

So happy we were lucky enough to find out about The Wharf!!! It was so much fun, we even went back a second night to their Fort Lauderdale location. The people here are so friendly - both the staff and the guests. Just all around good vibes and happy people. And excellent music! Hip hop and top 40 music, some older stuff (2010’s) but mostly current. I was dancing around and yelling from excitement, it was great. There is enough space if you want to be at the center of the action, or if you need to get some air by the water. They even have enough spaces to sit down aside from bottle service.

Bathrooms are really clean, so great news. They also have a selection of food trucks if you get hungry, and tiki drinks. The frozen pina colada drink was just okay- it was not blended well. I also wish they had a dessert food truck and not just fried foods. I loved their watermelon sangria. Just get a pitcher- it’s not too heavy on the alcohol, and it’s so yummy it’s worth it (you can’t order just 1-2 drinks individually for their sangria). This was the best place we found to hang out and dance the night away during our trip.

The itself is great. We have been here before and enjoy it. But last night someone stole both my cell phone and a friends cell phone from our purses. We didn't even notice it happening. When talking to friends about it, found another who also had her phone stolen a week earlier. I know its my responsibility to protect my phone, but with 3 phones missing in a week, it should also become their responsibility to try an reduce that or add more cameras and such. At least post a notice that pick pockets are working inside... okay so we know thy won't do that. But seriously, it is going to keep happening until something is changed. I did file police report. Tried to call them, lol good luck, all 5 options only go to a recording you have to leave and hit any other key and it hangs up. I left 2 messages but did not receive a call back. Will go back as the place is nice, just not as safe as I thought it was , but next time looking for someone to try that again.
