What a beautiful little find in heart of Fort Lauderdale. Our guide Beverly was so engaging and very knowledgeable. The house was in perfect condition and should not be missed!

This was my third time at the Stanahan House. Every time it is different, since the tour guides touch on different stories and have their own stories to add. Christmas time is my favorite to go there. They have trees and Christmas decorations throughout. If you are into history, this is a must see.

Very interesting piece of history right in the middle of down town. Our guide was very passionate and we were very happy with the tour. Well worth the time. So convenient to the water taxi!

Nice home on the New River

Very nice home on the New River. The guides were very nice and very knowledgeable. The tour takes just over one hour. Nice to learn about some of the history of Ft. Lauderdale. Nice diversion for families or couples. You need to book online.

Very rare and unique piece of history nestled amongst high-rises and above the tunnel.

A beautiful historic home made of local pine and steeped in a rich cultural history very unique to Fort Lauderdale. Our tour guide was a former teacher and original Fort Lauderdale resident for over 50 years with a direct connection to the former inhabitants. He really knows the city inside and out and you will appreciate having this tour.
It was very memorable, and I will never forget it. I found it meaningful and highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the history of how Fort Lauderdale was established along with information about various cultural groups here and where everyone came from.
I also think this is a great experience for kids to understand about what old washing machines and refrigerators look like for example.
A great all around experience and yes I would go again.

I have been on many historical home tours and I believe this one had the most original furniture and house hold items from the kitchen to the master bedroom! The Stranahan story is a good one!

Amazing Historic Gem in the heart of Fort Lauderdale

What a wonderful piece of history right in our own backyard! The detail to historic accuracy was impeccable. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was engaging and showed a true passion for the Stranahan house and preserving the history. Very Enjoyable!

Historic marvel in the middle of downtown Ft. Lauderdale

This is a marvelous historic home that should not be missed. The tour guide was very well informed and just a delight providing generous background information. She knew facts even about the smallest details of the home. We can be so grateful that this historic home was saved and continues to be cared for by a group of loyal individuals. Do yourself a favor if you are of a historic mind and drop by for a visit. On the way out leave a generous donation so the loving care of this property can continue.

Best Tour in Fort Lauderdale

This was the most amazing tour I've ever had. John Della-Cerra, the caretaker of the house, is the most knowledgeable tour guide ever. He had an answer for every question and his love for the house and it's history was palpable. The stories he told were interesting and relevant, and we left feeling as though this house and it's history were an old friend. The artifacts within the house were plentiful and fascinating. 10/10 would recommend!
