My wife wanted to come here, and I was a little reluctant since we're able to buy these wines at many locations. While that's true, they have so many additional wines that are only available at the winery that are amazing!! Our wine host, Dina (or Deena?) was incredible. We've done many, many tastings, and she was one of the best wine hosts we've had. She shared great stories about the history of the vineyards and winery, and was very attentive throughout the tasting. We brought our dogs and she was very accommodating with them. We very highly recommend for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir lovers!

They have really nice wines, focusing mainly on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It’s a nice tasting room with both indoor and outdoor areas. Service is wonderful. Beautiful views.

My husband I are wine club members at La Crema for good reason. The hospitality given to us by the entire staff was welcoming and professional. Grace was our Estate host and she was poised and very knowledgeable about the wines we enjoyed. She listened to our wine preferences and introduced us to some wines that were unfamiliar to us! She truly gave us a personalized wine tasting experience that was unforgettable. We also had a great conversation with Dina who provided additional information about the winery. We look forward to a return visit!

My wife and I tried La Crema Vineyard after a visit we did at the Kendall Jackson Estates Winery. I explained what I liked and loved in a Pinot Noir to our guide there. He recommended we try La Crema. La Crema was approximately 15 minutes from Kendall Jackson. We arrived about 20 minutes before they closed for the day. Once we checked in with them, we were directed to our "hostess." She was exceptional! She didn't care if it was the end of their day. She truly gave us the full tour! She showed and presented some great "bubbles" to my wife. From there, she showed many great "Russian River, Sonoma County pinot noir" wines to me. I liked them all. For the last wine, she poured their extremely limited edition "eight barrel" pinot. I was blown away by the flavor. It exceeded anything I had tasted during our eight day Sonoma tour, and two week visit to Sonoma, Napa, and San Francisco vacation. I definitely bought a couple of them!

This was our second visit to La Crema because they make one of our favorite chardonnays and once again we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our tasting was interrupted by a long and annoying, but necessary, phone call (taken outside of course) and our hostess, Melissa, was extremely patient and understanding. She kept the tasting going, and cheerfully updated our missing taster (me) when I was able to pop back in. I can't wait for the wine we ordered to arrive, so I can enjoy it unhurried. Thank you, La Crema for your patient and outstanding hospitality. Next time, nothing will get in the way!

If you haven’t been, definitely treat yourself and visit. The property is beautiful, the wines are amazing and the staff is wonderful. A special shout out to Melissa who was gracious, pleasant, fun and couldn’t have been any nicer. She made the experience much more special. Thank you 😊

Long time La Crema aficionados, we had heightened expectations. We went mid week and although had a reservation, it didn't show in the system, so a short delay before they sat us. Why in the world they have a reservation only system is ridiculous--adds to the pretension and comedy of it all. It's awesome wine--open the doors!
Anyway, great wines, and we were able to taste (and took home) some the non-commercial stuff which was our end goal, but the 20-nothing server as sweet as she was, could not go beyond the sales script and be more engaging. So that's why the one demerit.

Tasting on the patio. Make a reservation for one of their tastings. Ours was on the patio of their historic building with a nice view of the vineyard. They specialize in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and they were tasting three of each plus. Buying two bottles waives the $30 per person tasting fee. Bottles run around $50-60 each. You can add a cheese and meat plate to the experience. Tastings are about 1.5 hours.

Where annual production for Colagrossi Wines is about 1,000 cases and 1,200 cases for Guerrero Fernandez Winery, over 1,250,000 cases of La Crema wine were sold in 2020. Where the winemaker led our 90-minute seated tasting at Mueller Winery, we were one of several tables assigned to our host at La Crema. At Guerrero Fernandez Winery and Colagrossi Wines, you’re in an industrial park; at Mueller Winery, you’re ushered to a private salon in a state-of-the-art cooperative; Martinelli Winery and La Crema Estate at Saralee’s Vineyard offer a variety of tasting venues (including vineyard tours) centered around historic buildings. Readers should infer no value judgment from drawing these comparisons; just as everyone’s preferences in wine are different, so do people experience wine tastings differently. La Crema has a 4.6 rating on Google reviews and 4.5 on Yelp.
La Crema, along with Kendall-Jackson, Siduri and Stonestreet (all of which distribute nationally and may be available in your grocery store), is one of the iconic brands belonging to Jackson Family Wines (JFW), the largest wine company headquartered in Sonoma County. In 2016, JFW completed a massive renovation of the 12,000-square foot, four-story barn that had been the home of Richard and Saralee (hence, the name of the vineyard) Kunde. This amazing building has multiple tasting venues; we looked out onto a vineyard from our table on the ground floor patio. If you can, be sure to ride the elevator to all four floors; it makes a different barnyard animal sound as the door opens at each level!
The emphasis here is on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay which are highlighted in the Estate Tasting ($30/person, tasting fee waived with each 2-bottle purchase). Golf cart tours of the estate followed by a tasting are also available ($75/person) and you can reserve a table for a DIY picnic with a minimum purchase of one bottle

We were the only visitors on a quiet, sunny Monday morning. Very good tasting with excellent service from Carlos.
The setting is beautiful with nice gardens. The tasting area has a great view of the vineyard.
