Ask how to get there, as it’s a few blocks off the path near the Mission and Vintage House. Small stone historic building that housed first brewery. Try all their cheeses. We like their real sharp cheddar and dry aged Jack. Opens now at 10:00 am

Their walls are covered in ribbons the have won. Sampling is encouraged, and t hey ship their products too. Our favorite was the habanero cheese and the pesto cheese!

We always stop her to pick up different cheese to take home It never disappoints . It is not on the main square but worth the short drive.

Amazing history place just outside Sonoma on a quiet street. We stopped by and sampled and bought several dry cheeses for our wine picnic. the cheese was better than anticipated- and of course it had won several awards. You could literally feel the history. Great job Vella Cheese!

My husband and I were riding the bike trail through the town of Sonoma and noticed this cheese company. We stopped and went in to check it out. What a nice surprise! We tasted 10 different flavors of their wonderful cheese creations. They don't charge you for this (unlike the wineries) and we ended up purchasing 5 different flavors. We couldn't believe how reasonable the prices. They have received many blue ribbons for their flavors and we loved ALL of them. They are also great gifts for friends. They suggested a wonderful fruit stand 1/2 block away where we purchased the best peaches we have every tasted. We ended up going to the park for an unplanned picnic. We highly recommend that you add this to your places to stop when you are visiting this corner of the world

We stopped by this little shop on a food tour stop and now it is a guaranteed stop each time we pass through Sonoma. All the cheeses we tasted and bought are SO creamy and delicious. Highly recommend this shop.

We wandered into this cheese shop. We were hoping to find a particular cheese. They didn’t have it but they had some wonderful aged cheeses which we bought and brought home as they were shrink wrapped for travel. We will enjoy these cheeses. Only suggestion is better package marking of length of time cheese was aged.

The owners were so kind to open for Sonoma Bike Adventures to show us the operation and taste their cheese. Our family loved touring the wine refrigerator.

My husband and I stopped in to pick up a gift box of cheeses and came out with so much more. The staff was welcoming and offered many samples. Definitely worth a visit!
