Larson was our first stop coming into Sonoma. It was a beautiful day and not very crowded which was nice. Brian took care of us and took us on a tour. It’s a family run business and that shows. Wines were very good. I became a wine club member after our visit.

Loved loved loved this winery. Laid back atmosphere. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Reasonably priced wine. Great casual place to taste wines.

The wine was very good and the outside seating was exceptional. It was a warm, friendly winery. Our steward was very knowledgeable of the area and the wines. The tasting was reasonably priced.

When your done with the snooty vineyards visit this place. This is where you come for good wine, welcoming atmosphere, good value, and dog friendly. Bring some picnic food or buy some stuff in the shop (cheese, meat, crackers). This is the kinda place you want to hangout at on the regular!

We were members of Larson for years and enjoyed the quaint, family-friendly winery. But throughout the years they have "changed" into just another overpriced money grabbing Napa winery.
During the shutdowns, they implemented a no outside food policy, "for our safety and local health regulations." But they sold food there that is apparently safer than my food from home. We instead had to go out front and have a picnic in the parking lot to eat our food.
Okay, understood but we canceled our membership for the time being because we had no plans to visit the winery with such restrictions.
Napa county recently when to a lower restricted tier so I called and was excited to renew our membership in hopes they allow outside food. I was informed their outside food policy is now an internal policy no longer related to "my safety or local health regulations". However, you can buy their own food and sounds like this will be a long standing policy.
Looks like they saw the revenue coming in from their inside food sales and decided It was looking too good and changed their policy. A long standing Napa winery tradition of friends and family bringing goodies to eat and share can not happen there but we can instead buy their premade sandwiches.
PLEASE LARSON, consider allowing outside food again!

Bob our guide provided us with a unique history of the family, the land and how it all transformed from rodeo grounds to a family winery today. We sampled all red's that we both enjoyed, but ended up not purchasing. If your looking for a relaxing environment with out the fuss and pressure to join a club or purchase it's a nice stop off of the main road with down to earth people and vibe. It doesn't have to sound or look fancy to be good - I would recommend adding this to your stop.

Great kid-friendly winery. The atmosphere is chill and relaxed, almost like a beer garden. The wines were all tasty and we appreciated that they had a diverse food menu (the rosemary olive oil here is amazing!). Kids will feet right at home, even though the Bocce Court was closed due to the pandemic. It's not the most scenic of views and I wish that our server had spent more time with us talking about the various wines. But other than that, it was enjoyable and I would recommend especially if you have kids, as they are made to feel welcome.

We are wine club members and love Larson Family Winery. Their wines are fantastic, staff is so friendly, and the DOGS! We love the labs, the beauty of the vineyards, and the relaxing vibe! Off the beaten path and well worth the trip!

My daughter, her two cousins and I took a day trip to Sonoma and stopped in a few wineries. Larson Family Winery was on our list.
We sampled a few wines and ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir to share.
We headed outside to sit; it was a beautiful day and looking at the vineyard while enjoying our wine was just a relaxing experience.
Relaxed place, friendly servers, made for a lovely afternoon.

What a fun, relaxed winery this is. Try to schedule with Bob who will be like a stand up comic during your visit. The history and dogs are great not to mention the wine! Wonderful visit
