Amazing wine and service

My husband and I visited 3 Wineries on 8/20/23 and Sebastiani was the first and best. We were greeted by Frank who gave us a tour and tasting that was above and beyond our expectations.

Frank led us through the cabernet experience with anecdotes and stories for each wine. He was knowledgeable and friendly, and had a true passion for the product.

We highly recommend visiting Sebastiani and working with Frank!

Awesome find

We had a fantastic tasting experience. The wines were excellent and very knowledgeable staff. Tried a new red variety- Sangiovese and it was wonderful. The ambience of the tasting area was amazing with tuscan style barrel vaulted ceiling. We had the pleasure of finishing our tasting with a merlot infused ice cream and it was delicious and a perfect finish on a hot day. We will definitely come back.

Very disappointing

We have been to innumerable wine tastings. This was the worst. No acknowledgement of sister property membership. No offer to sit down - just stand at the bar. No offer of a glass of water. No offer of an extra "off list" tasting, which every other place we have been the last few days has done - for the same fee. $50. Unfortunate. Sebastiani is a beautiful, historic property that I first visited 30 years ago. AND they are now closed Tuesday and Wednesday. We had organized a trip around wine tasting reservations, and they called a week ahead and said they weren't open those days - even though all their signs say they are open 7 days. Had to rush to get there late on a Monday. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Once glorious; now a waste of time and money

Sebastiani winery is an architectural gem giving visitors a taste of Europe and old Sonoma. The wine tasting experience, however, is awful. Our server spoke in whisper with an accent and we could hardly hear her amid the echoes from other tables. She let as much as twenty minutes pass between pouring samples of wine. We had to ask for a dump bucket and water. The water Sebastiani serves is well water and it tasted like dirt. Added to that, we got plastic cups. Unlike most wineries, Sebastiani serves no food. No charcuterie. Not even a a few crackers or bread sticks. Terrible experience in a winery that, years ago, was one of my favorites.

Quando chegamos na vinícola estava ocorrendo um evento com diversas pessoas.
Fomos até o balcão, esperando as pessoas que estavam na nossa frente serem atendidas e perguntamos para uma funcionária se seria possível realizar uma degustação. Muito ríspida e arrogante informou que seria somente o evento, sem prover disponibilidade para continuar em esclarecer nossas dúvidas. Esperando mais de 15 minutos, conseguimos a atenção de outro funcionário para perguntar se seria possível comprar umas garrafas para levar, onde afirmou que sim, mas necessitaríamos aguardar um pouco para atender os demais clientes.
ESPERAMOS MAIS 30 MINUTOS. Saímos do estabelecimento sem uma simples garrafa comprada.

Thoroughly Enjoyed Sebastiani

I am uncertain what made this such a memorable visit for my husband and myself, but it certainly did. Tasty wine, very friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful vineyards. Maybe that was the magical combination. We wish to return again.

Pretty Courtyard & Good Wine

This winery is nestled in a neighborhood and was quiet the day we stopped in. We had no reservation, just stopped for a glass of wine and walked around the winery. We enjoyed our wine in their courtyard with a fountain in the center, very relaxing.

Fantastic wine tasting

We had a fantastic wine tasting event at Sebastiani Vineyards and Winery today. Our host, Chris, did an excellent job of explaining the different wines. He made sure each new selection arrived at just the right time. Chris was very knowledgeable and personable. We did our best to convince him that he needs to come snowboarding in the Canadian Rockies.

Be sure to order the Charcuterie Plate for some great munchies including several different types of sausage, crackers, cheese, nuts dried apricots and cranberries.

Great Experience in Wine Country

We scheduled a wine tasting and charcuterie board and loved our experience. Our sommelier was amazing! He had a great sense of humor and wonderful service. After tasting he brought us sorbet. The winery is gorgeous with lots of details throughout. Would definitely recommend, especially on a weekday when you can have more personalized service.

Historic Look at Winemaking and Reasonably Priced Wines to Taste

We truly enjoyed our visit to Sebastiani, and not just for the wine tasting.

The tasting room is filled with antique wine barrels and furnishings. It’s more like a museum than a tasting room. The self guided tour is fascinating. Intricately carved barrels, stone walls made out of rubble from the 1906 earthquake, family photos and my favorite: The third largest wine barrel in the world (64,000) gallons)!

The $50 tasting features five wines. Most are reasonably priced by Sonoma standards.
