Kali Tempel er i sig selv ikke den store seværdighed, men den korte tur fra selve buen til udsigtspunktet er meget fint. Man går op af mange trapper og på vejen kan man også se en meget stort, forholdsvis ny Buddha statue. Udenfor templet er der et stort område hvor de lokale samles til sjov og ballade. Er man heldig med vejret kan man se Himalaya bjerge men...det sker sjældent om foråret.

The road leading to this temple is really bad.
After the bumpy ride, all you are seeing is just a run down temple. I don't think it's worth the efforts.

Uitzicht natuurlijk niet gegarandeerd, maar de klim naar boven is het wel waard. Heenweg via de natuur en terugweg via de trap naar beneden. De uitzichttoren kan niet beklommen worden..

The hill has a perfect view over the mountains. Nice place on top of a stone, that is part of the ceremonies in the temple.

OK views from up here, but it's dirty and run down. "Free" admission - but you have to pay 100 rupees to climb the stairs up to the temple.

Run down, tower delapidated/closed, but nice for a hike up to (640 steps - not 1,000!) and views. 100 rupees per adult (foreigners) to climb up the stairs.

The walk up a long winding stair is nice, being among green hills, a path with flowers and shadow. Entry fee was 100 rupee. It is also nice to meet a lot of local students and people going up for picnics - at least during weekends - and chat with them. Up to the temple the view is supposed to be very nice, but it was full clouds when I was there. The temple in itself is a small shrine, over a massive concrete building; it probably carries a strong importance for the local Hindu but the construction is quite ugly. Also the surrounding area is unkempt and full of rubbish.

Located on the highest point in this area, wonderful view, the temple is very old, the strucutre seems to be affected by the earthquakes, the kali temple is very much a place to pay a visit.

Gåturen derop (1000 steps) er fin, men ikke noget særligt. Udsigten fra toppen er okay, men måske ikke tiden værd. Der er mange andre sights i Kathmandu dalen, der er mere værd at bruge tid på. Absolut ikke en af de største oplevelser.
