Visited during a road trip. The atmosphere was nice with cool music. I really like the wine and the food. I will probably visit again if I am in the area. Just tried to get early for the tour and to avoid the heat.

This is a lovely place with good wines, we enjoyed the wine flight and you get to keep the glass. If you are in the area and enjoy wines this is a nice stop. It is Near Cottonwood and not far from Sedona.

My kinda place! Inside was kinda small so be sure to head outside. Outdoor shaded setting was beautiful. They had live music when we were there. Pizza ok. Cheese board. Wine flights. So worth the drive and stop. Was a highlight of my quick trip and would definitely stop again.

4 of us took the Alcantara vineyard and winery jeep tour this week. Our tour guide Ray was awesome. He kept the hour fun, and adventurous with his knowledge and creative driving. The scenery was super and the wine was outstanding. Highly recommend this trip to anyone that enjoys seeing the beauty of nature and tasting some of the verde valleys finest wine. This is great for all age adults. Hands down, We will go back.

We came here after hiking and had a bottle of wine while sitting outside. It is a beautiful property. Take the time to walk around and see the full extent of the property. Amazing.

We went to the Alacantara Vineyard after kayaking on the Verde River. We each got a class of red wine and enjoyed the outside space while we drank some wine and ate the cheese plate.

I love this vineyard! I work for a tour company that hosts wine tastings. We always stop here because not only is it beautiful but the service is incredible and the wine is great! Kerry and Kassie always give wonderful service and make sure we are taken care of. The location is really cool- located near the Verde River and among the white cliffs! My clients love this vineyard and it's always a favorite! A++

My husband and I had a little tour of the wine production facilities with a medium size group.
We dined outdoors. Appetizer entree and dessert was delicious. We had tastings of a few of their wines and wine with dinner.

Depending on your expectations, this could be ok experience or it could be a disaster. My friend and I went to Alcantara in the beginning of February 2023; we both wanted to experience a "traditional" winery and this one came up as the closest one in Sedona area.
As all you know, there isn't a way to leave a review without any stars, so I gave one for the location of the place itself.
When we arrived in the middle of a week, we were the only visitors, yet the individuals working there (woman & a man) didn’t bother to make us feel welcomed. They just chat for a few minutes about where we were from and where they were from, and that’s about it. We both had the “vip tasting” and a specialty cheese plate (btw, I was charged for the antipasto plate – will explain later) for snacking. Just as previous reviewers stated, you DO NOT get an actual tasting of wine – 1 ounce of liquid is not a tasting, more like teasing. So practically we paid $20 each for 4 ounces of wine, that NO ONE took a time to tell us about. Mind you, if you look at all negative reviews, there is absolutely zero response from the winery, that tells you a lot…
As previously mentioned, we asked for the antipasto sampler, but the woman behind the bar told us that they are out of prosciutto and she had offered a ham instead. I mean, seriously? I have been to many wineries around the US as well as Tuscany, but I have never had anyone offer me a ham with wine. It’s like I offered you a salmon on thanksgiving (instead of turkey). Since they didn’t have the right meat, we ordered the "speciality cheese platter", which was yet another horrible experience. We watched the woman pulling the platter from the refrigerator, taking off the plastic foil and giving it to us. I understand, that when you have a business you are setting up many things in advance, but our “sampling platter” was just gross. The content latterly looked like a 5 year old grabbed some cheap pieces of cheese and dumped on the plastic plate (picture attached). The bread and almonds were stale and cold. We received only one plastic knife to share and 2 small plates, and that's only after I asked for them. Bottom line, we didn’t think we were coming for tasting at Costco, but a winery! Seriously, you can buy cheap ceramic or glass plates in a dollar store! A winery should have a presentation from the beginning to the end, and if you cannot provide that, you shouldn't be in this business. Btw, when I used the bathroom, I noticed that it was dirty and not dusted in some months… Just gross!
We will never go back to this place!

Hi
If you were to visit mid March what does the vineyards look like, are there leaves and grapes grown or is it later in season?
Thanks

Mid March our vines are still dormant, we usually are pruning at this time. The vines start to push in April and start leafing in May. Vines start verasion (grapes skins start to turn colors and juice forming inside) in June and July. The Harvest season usually starts in late August and goes through September.

do you have B&B accommodations at the Vineyard? We would like to do the float trip and then stay at your Vineyard

We don't have a B & B yet, it's in our future plans. There is cabins available next door at Thousand Trails RV Park. Which do offer discounts if you mention Alcantara Vineyards!
Hope that helps? You can call us also to get more information.
