Shirdi Sai baba temple is a must visit for all Sai Bhakts. But be very careful of the people standing outside the temple. They misguide you and loot your money. I have attached pic of the shop who lied to me to took Rs1300. Sai dear tour and travel opposite gate 6 are total fraud.
Do not listen to anyone. There is Rs5 phone locker and free shoe.

The level for devotion by the devotees is astonishingly breathtaking. We visited early morning, and even at that time the queues had started to building. Despite being expat tourists we opted NOT to get into the fast-track lane and instead, as an act of devoutness, we joined the regular queue. It took us almost 2.5 hours to get from the start to actually seeing and witnessing the Holy Shrine.
I entitled this review... 'your devotion will be tested...' and with good reason as this indeed will be put to the test, we are Brits and that being the case every sinew in our body and all our years of socialising has taught us to queue in an orderly fashion and help others in need of our support...
Unfortunately, this is not the case globally, and it is a case of "everyone for themselves". Be prepared to be jostled, pushed shoved, with queue jumping commonplace, the queue also stalled for period of up to 15 mins . It can be very frustrating, particularly when traveling with young children, however one must never lose sight of the sense of occasion, and demonstrate patience, tolerance and piety. I think that is what got me/us through the queuing experience. Also worth pointing out that the queue spans the length and breath of the temple's rooms, once in the final shrine area the pushing and jostling does get even more intense, we traveled there with my wife and I, and two children aged 10 and 8 years, I held on to my daughter's hand tightly (and wife, my son) and had we a plan incase we misplaced each other. At the actually shrine you literally have 3 to 5 seconds before your are ushered to move-on.
Also worth mentioning that you are categorically not permitted to take recording devices (including mobile phones) into the shrine (your are searched), and have to check them into a cloakroom area beforehand... best advice, on the day of your visit best to leave everything at the hotel, or you'll have to queue again.
The whole experience was certainly spiritual, moreover visiting the Sai Baba temple is a reflection of ones own emotions and sensibilities and trying to be the best version of ourselves!

I went to Shirdi, from Delhi with my 70+ parents and 2 kids, aged 13 and 7, thinki g that it is a safe destination to travel to, for ladies.
We had planned a 5 days trip, starting from Shirdi, to trimbakeshwar, then Nashik and then back to
The hotel - Marigold Regency was wonderful- neat, clean, staff helpful , free pick and drop service to the Sai Temple.
The only problem we faced in the whole trip was the taxi that had been arranged through a travel agent.
We arranged it before travelling to avoid last minute confusions but it did not turn out to be so.
The taxi driver was apathetic, had no desire to show us nearby attractions even on repeated requests.
Did not tie the luggage on the luggage carrier, so in effect we travelled in cramped seats despite it being a 7 seater.
He took us to specific shops in shani shignapur and shirdi and compelled us to buy stuff from there, and had no consideration for my elderly parents parking very far away- saving his petrol and creating difficulties for us, which were avoidable.
Even when requested to drive further he refused.
On the third day of the trip, he started harrassing us for extra money- refused to follow the earlier agreed upon itinery and created a lot of stress for me and my parents.
To the extent that eventually we had to change out taxi.
But this experience left a bad taste and made me to feel that even now, single females with/ without kids are not safe to travel.

I visited this temple with my parents and friend. The place is quiet and holy for anyone who knows Baba. It is well known among locals and tourists.

Fundamentally there is a misunderstanding among humans that "Hiduism" is a religion .
Let me explain categorically it is not but it is only a way of life .
It is so ancient as evolution of man itself as he started interacting with nature like fire .
It got evolved as evolution got evolved .
Yoga was just a practice that was initiated by great learned people and it was a way of toning and tuning the human body which they basically considered as a vehicle which they needed to use to understand self and the creator in a best possible way .
It came about understanding the various chakras in the human body and how each asana or stretches coupled with deep breathing ( Prana ) that raised not just the mental awareness but the whole physical body itself gets toned to work to its peak efficiency.
This can be practised by any one and it is said that it is the shortest and best way to become one with the creator himself, which people can call of any name they wish and are comfortable with be it Allah ,Jesus or even Eashwara or Ra.
But yoga is best learnt from a guru in parampara way and I for one would not recommend self learning or through television / book .
Wrong way of doing Asana can lead to negative effects.
I speak from a state of awareness after I statyed practicing Yoga for one and a half years and I am just an apprentice so to say .
I hope I have answered the query to the satisfaction the Enquirer.
I.must add that when one becomes an Enquirer they have become an inward traveller spiritually.
Best of luck .
