This place has limited offerings. There are only four rides each for teenagers and adults and the same number for kids which is not enough given the space and the cost.
Additionally, each ride can only be experienced once which is not ideal for kids.
If you have extra money and your kids are keen due to the name you might consider going but it may not be worth it otherwise.

1) SHIMLA and perhaps a lot of Indian "well-known" hill stations are OVER-RATED. They are also hot in the summer. Check before going. DO NOT GO JUST BECAUSE IT's VERY HOT IN THE PLAINS AND YOU WILL GET AT LEAST SOME RELIEF. With your cooler / AC in your home, you might be better off than travelling in the heat.
2) Shimla IS OVER CROWDED.
"Do NOT go to KUFRI at any cost".
You WILL get LOOTED by the local tourist guides / package providers there and also sulk in TRAFFIC like you are in DELHI / BANGALORE.
3) Hotel room stays and taxi fares are OVER the ROOF. LOOT only.
4) If (TEMPERATURE is LOW) -> If (You can plan yourself without local tourist guides looting you) -> then there is a chance of some tourism. Some people in Shimla are actually very helpful.
5) TOY TRAIN - something fishy - it is a private party train - they will delay train by 3.00 hours citing forest fire. And you do not get refund unless train is MORE than 3.00 hours late.
6) Forest fire is very real and is contributing to the heat of the hill stations.

Best Amusement Park of Himachal without any doubt. That's what there tagline is. A complete tourist destination. Really loved this place.

Don't go here at summer time. First they convince you to buy tickets for 1000 each person and say it will be a lot of fun. After you go there nobody is there to listen you. There are no safety measures. You have to do everything by yourself. Everything is tooo costly there.

If you are with family, never take this ride. It is more than risky. It's a scam. No control over horse and they can take you anywhere in jungle. One can fall from high hills. No on spot medical facilities of you are injured. No one to listen to you. These horse wala will say that all family horse will be tied and go together but some are casual to do so. Most of the people going on horse were so furious that they were coming back from other root through Jeep.

The Shimla area is breath-taking , with this in mind don't bother going here , waste of precious time . Fun world , my word ....NO . Sorry my recommendation is not to bother . My Indian friends were also far from impressed

We visited this place since it was as per our cab package however wasn’t as exciting as its hyped! You can get here by public transport or private cars and near the parking lot you find lot of people offering packages of activities - horse riding, telescope views, ziplining, Burma bridge etc. We took their 3k package for two people - They arranged for two horses to take us uphill, and upon getting down we were directed to the place where the activities are and the telescope viewing point! The views are good however the horse ride seemed little dangerous and some kind of torture for the poor animals who were tired a lot!

My ride to Kufri was near death experience. Me and my partner did the horse riding where 500 was for horse riding and 500 for sight seeing. Sightseeing is a scam as there is not even a single apple tree on the top and it is not a seasonal thing. One can cross verify from other reviews in season and find that apple trees are dead with not even a single leaf on them. Cab drivers are involved in this fraud as they have cut in this. Now coming to near death experience, there are 15-20 horses parallely moving from up and down into a narrow lane of 10-12 ft. The horse guy will be managing 7-8 horses at a time and I was always worried about my life and my partner’s life. Apart from my knee being badly hurt by striking with other horses bones and iron seats. My leg got stuck into an opposite moving horse’s rope and I forcefully moved it to other side by my leg. It was almost a near death experience and people should never ever visit Kufri atleast for this horse riding and sightseeing stuff. You want to play, play with money, play poker but don’t play with your life.

Absolutely horrible experience! Your cab drivers will try taking you there to get a cut from the horse/pony riding scammers. When you walk up to the point where the scammers scam you into buying tickets for the horse ride and another 1000 bucks for some useless activity. I would have recommended a rating of 0 since there is nothing but barren land at the end of the horse ride and a few tea shops at the location. Additionally, the activities are not worth the money, only a few metres of zipling.
Please use your time in Kufri in exploring the santuaries and bird parks nearby.

This is an informational post. I'm an avid traveller and have travelled well over 10 countries and am currently making my way up in North India.
Currently in Shimla, what is a beautiful city surrounded by mountains is actually home to loads of people who are just sitting to scam tourists.
From cafe owners serving wrong dishes and hyping up prices for below average food to taxi drivers lying and misleading to you, in the last two days we've seen it all. Having travelled so much around India, this is my worst experience and it pains me to say so.
Going to Kufri is an entire SCAM. I'm upset I didn't read about it before. The taxi drivers are all included in it as they get commission. They will take you to a parking lot, like we were. We paid 3500/- for 2 adults and 1 kid for horse ride, sightseeing and apple orchard and apple park. We were told the sightseeing ticket is all inclusive, but as soon as we started, we had to pay entry tickets in two places. Furthermore, once we reached up, the sightseeing guide didn't even come to take us anywhere. We were just shown the directions to an apple orchard and weren't shown any of the attractions as promised.
The apple orchard was so-so, as it didn't have a single apple or even greenery in it, even during season. That was a okayish experience, however much below average. On coming down, we came to know that our guide hasn't taken us anywhere. When we went to complain at the ticket counter, 10-15 locals boys surrounded us two girls and misbehaved with us. They completely went back on their word. Even our taxi driver was involved with them and simply lied to us.
Here are the names and numbers of all people involved. This post is just to inform fellow tourists like me, so they don't have to go through what we went.

Cafe - Embassy Cafe (major scam spot. The old couple act all humble and nice, until they serve you all wrong dishes and charge you exorbitantly once you've eaten. We ordered a 180/- cake slice, and they conveniently switched it with a similar looking slice that costs 600/-. Moreover, even though we didn't want to buy anymore things, they forcibly put them in our order and charged us for it. And the food was below below average.)
Hostelers Homestay Boileauganj - MAJOR SCAM!
These people give you wrong numbers and just misguide you, shifting the blame, so there's nothing you can do. Attaching pictures for reference.

I did not find much snow in kufri, I did find some near hip hip hurray park - very little. If you need snow go to manali
1) solang valley (much crowded)
2) Koti - few KM above Solang valley - not crowded and can enjoy a lot. U will find 4-5 feet snow (i was their in march 2019)
