Mahalakshmi temple in Phonda is very old temple with a very Beautiful architecture.

When we visited there was some special Pooja was going on and It was Heavily Crowded. Parking here is bit of Issue and One Might need to wait for the parking slot.

Very good visit overall.

Светлый храм, прекрасная энергетика. Это был мой первый индуистский храм. При входе сидят женщины и продают цветы - обязательно возьмите подношение для богини, даже если вы в другой конфессии. Чувствуешь умиротворение, хочется быть в потоке и доверии к миру. Просто надо закрыть глаза и почувствовать.

Oldest Temple in Goa-Delightful

Mahalaxmi temple is situated in the heart of the Panjim City. This around 200 years old temple has fascinating history, it is the first Hindu temple built in Goa with the contributions of devotees. Goddess Mahalakshmi is the presiding deity of the temple. In addition, temples of few other deities like Lord Ganesh, Shree Mahadev, Radha Krishna are also located within / adjacent to the Mahalaxmi temple. The temple is situated adjacent to congested main road, except roadside no other parking facility. The temple premise is not expansive; the entire temple premises are cleanly maintained. During South Goa trip, we visited the temple during afternoon time, when the temple premises was almost empty and hence could offer the puja peacefully. The ambience inside the temple was calm and blissful, we spent some divine time with the family. Necessary puja offerings like flower, sweets etc. are available at the small shops at the entry of the temple premises.

Le temple Mahalaxmi ne présente guère d'intérêt, que ce soit par sa situation dans une rue triste de Goa ou par on esthétisme. Préférez-lui le temple Maruti, bâti sur la colline et dominant Fontainhas, bien plus joli et mieux situé.

Quiet, Soothing, Spacious Place of Worship

Mahalaxmi Temple is a 200yr-old simple place of worship, easily accessible near the city centre. The Temple premises are fairly large with a huge peepul tree & separate halls for Sri Ganapathy, Radha Krishna & Mahalakshmi. All the halls are neat & clean & peaceful. There is a tall, uniquely structured pillar before the Mahalakshmi temple, like a dhwajastambam in South Indian temples. The temple is soothing & peaceful.

Famous Temple

The temple is located in the heart of Panaji City. The temple complex is not as big as some other temples in Goa. The complex is congested and there few other temples in the complex, which includes temples dedicated to Shri Ganapati and Shri Radha Krishna. The temple does not have a dedicated parking area, however, the temple is easily accessible from Panaji city, so vehicle can be parked in the city.
The temple premises and the temples are very well maintained. The ambiance inside the temples is Divine.

По цвету стен уж точно напоминает эту пряность. Не очень большой, но очень колоритный внутри. Посвящен индийской богине процветания Махалаксми. Был возведён в начале XIX века. Имеет небольшой арочный вход и традиционную восьми-гранную башню. Место интересное и колоритное во всех отношениях. Будите в Панаджи - зайдите.
