Dear Roatán Chocolate Factory, I cannot speak for your other customers and their opinion on your coffee, but as a quality coffee lover your capuccino simply was of a low quality. Equally I do not understand why you´d make a statement that your coffee comes from the farm that was awarded the first price in the "Cup of Excelence." This is simply a false statement as you can consult the results here: allianceforcoffeeexcellence. org - the winners clearly came from Marcala, with runner ups from San Andrés, Lempira and Santa Barbara, places which are miles away from Danlí. The only farm from Danli in the list, is on the 26th place - equally, the fact that a farm is in the "same eco-system" as a farm that´s performing well doesn´t say much about the quality of said farm - while this in the end just as well comes down to cultivation, harvest, and post-harvest process practices. When it comes to having no basil on the caprese panini, while actually having it fresh in your garden, in a way looks worst on your service whil it emphasises the lack of effort put in by your staff. I truly hope you´ll improve this - but, as I said, I suppose it´d make more sense for you to focus on the chocolate. We addressed the issues with the manager present personally last weekend when we were there - but then and equally now I feel you´ve put more effort in coming up with elaborate explanations that this was a "one off" rather than just taking the criticism and truly improve your practice. Shortly said, it wasn´t that 1 dish or drink was off - it truly was everything part of the order + the lack of proper customer service to another customer, which to me truly gives the impression that this is a structural problem with your café and not an incident, hence my 1 star review.
