Excellent location, super well structured and full of history. The value of the entrance is saltier than the other attractions of Gold Black, but very well worth it!

There's only one word to say: BRAVO.
What an immense merit and courage the TOLEDO family had to embark on such an adventure of restoration and maintenance of an important historic place for the city of Ouro Preto! Without public subsidy, she managed to rehabilitate an 18th century mansion with its outbuildings (slave cells, kitchen), furnishing it with period and 19th century furniture, restoring the garden and its many terraces. We visit everything for about 15 € with a "mediator" (English and Portuguese languages only). Too bad that you can not be alone in the gardens to soak up the place and the beautiful view of the center of Ouro Preto, all in hills and churches perched on each of them.
A beautiful visit to do absolutely to dive into this emblematic era of Brazil.

The place is perfect, full of art! It has plenty of details and José shared various information that made the visit much more interesting!! I loved too much, felt inside a history book.

The palace is beautiful! In addition to the beauty, it is amazing to learn more about the history of Gold Black and a house of great importance to the mining history! I highly recommend the visit!

Casarão from the beginning of the history of Vila Rica with an incredible restoration and with many furniture and objects of the season.
The guided tour was the best we did the region. Home, sense, mine, All in a beautiful place.
At the end an excellent coffee with cheese, sweets and cheese bread crowned the experience.
From breakup we talked to the owners who are very friendly and explained to us part of the restoration process.

The site tells the story of one of the first houses in Vila Velha (Ouro Preto), the tour is guided and well-complete. The guide told us several facts about the house, in addition to being very attentive and polite. The tour has a duration of 1-2 hours and we explore, besides the house, the senzala, mine, square and the viewpoint. The cost is R$100, but it is worth seeing!
