The great place near the city. After getting tired of work that's a nice place to picnic. Only one thing is surprised me is they charged us for entry. So far I know it's just need to pay the parking but the two man in the entrance charged us RM 8 per person.

For those living in central KL and PJ area, Kanching offers a nearby nature escape with cooling rivers, falls, and jungle without driving too far away. Easily done as an early morning till noon escapade. Was a bit disappointed at the large amount of trash, bottles (even broken glass!), and food packaging scattered around. Bins are available people! Please use them.
Gazebos are scattered about, but with several levels of waterfall pools, there's plenty of space although considering its proximity to town, it gets pretty crowded the later you go.

Die Wasserfälle sind sehr schön und sehenswert, leider sind die Wege nicht mehr im besten Zustand und es liegt viel Müll herum. Echt schade hier könnte mal wieder aufgeräumt werden.

This is a stunning spot that is well worth the short drive out of KL. The park it’s self is very poorly kept with a lot of maintenance issues. (Broken / rusty handrails, painting needed everywhere.) Along with the general poor upkeep, the littering is terrible. Some could be attributed to monkeys raiding the bins, but most is down to human laziness and disregard for nature. The litter really spoils what is a stunning location. You’d want to take a video of picture and end up finding a plastic bag in the shot or a cluster of plastic bottles.
Despite the human effects on this beauty spot it really is a spectacular site. I’d recommend coming as early as possible to avoid the large groups of noisy picnickers. Once you come off the main concrete path and steps the hike gets even better and gives a true hiking experience. Towards the top it gets challenging with ropes and scrambling. We didn’t make it to the peak sadly as the route becomes unclear and we simply didn’t know where to go. The falls are incredible and beautiful.
To climb to the top you need proper footwear and a backpack to free up your hands. (I wish I could have brought down some of the rubbish that others had left but my bag was too small.)
It’s awesome, but being wrecked by humans.

An average rainforest experience. Thanks to its near vicinity to Kuala Lumpur, it is very accessible. However, it comes at the cost of many tourists. We wanted to experience a serene forest but here it's more of a party vibe, for better or worse. The waterfalls are still beautiful, but good luck getting a clean shot of it without the crass tourists!

The beginning of the path is very dirty, heaps of garbage, when we wanted to cross the river to follow the pathway to the higher waterfalls a group of wild dogs approached us and where agressive. It was quite scary. Luckily we received some help from a local fisherman. He told us that we needed something to protect ourselves so he cutted some sticks for us so we could walk back down safely. The locals also left the place immediately. I would not recommend to go there!

Really enjoyed the sequence of waterfalls - a lovely place to visit. Only reached waterfall number 4 due to shortness of visit but will definitely return to make a day of it. RM5 for parking and RM2 per person.

Parking
Paid parking: RM 8 for 3 persons so RM 2.70 per person?
Free parking: A little further from the entrance on the right side
Weekend crowd
Reached at 7.00am. There were 3-4 small groups (without kids) on different levels of the waterfall. By 8.30am, most places were crowded. We were at tier 5 at that time. People were doing BBQ next to the falls too.
Tiers
Expect no direction signs. The waterfalls come from a very high source, so there are actually many tiers. 7 are the most popular ones but you will pass by smaller ones too. After tier 4, there's no stairs anymore. The direction might be confusing because there are two diverging pathways. The right one is a mud track going upwards and the left is more rocky going to the left. Follow the left for the falls. The right one is for hiking. After tier 5, the trails are just rocks next to the falls.
Make wiser decisions
Monkeys took our food at tier 5. 2 came from nowhere and the rest of the gang joined. So, eat and keep your food inside. Tho many families were having big picnics. Not sure if monkeys didn't dare come close to them or not. Bring a plastic bag to throw your rubbish please. It's so painful to discover a waterfall only to see food leftovers. Bring mosquito repellent. We brought and nothing bit us.
That's all from me. Hope this helped!

After climbing down from the Batu caves there is nothing quite like a soothing paddle in the lake at the bottom of these waterfalls. The locals clearly love the place and splash about happily in the agreeably cool waters. Watch out for the monkeys!

Its not too bad. There is 7 waterfalls you can see and the higher it gets the steeper it is as well. Make sure to bring enough water with you and there is monkeys on the way so don't pack too much food.
