Not very clean

Not quite as clean as it looks int he photo but easy to find with interesting street art along one side. Great starting point before visiting the Central Market too!

It's a shame that it was quite dry!

The River of Life is also an important part of Kuala Lumpur. I suppose that during a time of the year other than the dry season, it must be beautiful, but on the day we went, the water levels were quite low. Nevertheless, it's pleasant to stroll along the riverbank.

Don’t Bother Total waste of time.

A absolute disgrace. Who ever was in charge of this development obviously lined their own pockets with what should have been spent. Low quality paths. Not safe for tourists. What could have been is not. I was totally amazed at how short and poorly constructed this project is. And be aware this walk is used by speeding motorised scooters.

One of the most iconic highlights in KL. Visited River of Life after our visit to Jamek Masjid. Short walk crossing many restaurants and cafes. Don’t miss mango juice.

The River of Life is one of the most iconic parts of Kuala Lumpur. Located near Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad, the oldest mosque in the city, it is a convergence point of two rivers: the Klang River and the Gombak River. The Klang River, known as Sungai Klang by the locals, streams through the regions of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor and eventually into the straits of Malacca. The Gombak River is another major river in the Klang Valley. What began as an expensive urban river restoration project has paid off, as the River of Life has been listed as one of the top 10 most beautiful waterfronts in the world!

Really cool and simple activity!!!

This is a very unique activity. We visited here at dark, the river has LED lights along both sides. At dark with the mist if the water and the lights it provides some pretty cool photos. This is a place just to take in the beauty of something so simple but very different and get some nice photos, we definitely recommend it if you have an hour to spare in the evening.

Nice view but unclean river

The intent is good. Good spot for views, clicks and selfies. While there are some good views, the river itself is unclean.

Absolutely filthy, putrid and stinks!!! So much rubbish in the river, nothing could survive in it. Walked along the river for some distance on several days and it was astonishingly sad in this this day and age to see a waterway so neglected and polluted.

Built to be a tourist attraction some years ago it still primarily makes me think of the dirty water. The over all improvement of this previously shabby area is positive and now a small cafeteria seems to survive too.

Идея , безусловно хорошая! Судя по срокам к сегодняшнему дню речки входящие в этот проект, The River of Life, должны быть чистыми и прозрачными. Но... Обо всем по порядку. Стрелка реки у мечети Джамек наиболее полно отражает проект регенерации и восстановления реки, который включает в себя новые фонтаны, фрески, прибрежные кафе, длинные велосипедные дорожки и ночные световые шоу. Река жизни — проект, направленный на превращение реки Кланг в оживленную и пригодную для жизни набережную. Этот проект, охватывает восемь рек общей протяженностью 110 км. И все вроде прекрасно! И фонтаны появились, и световая шикарная подсветка есть, и велосипедные дорожки. Но, к сожалению, людей , прогуливающихся по берегам, особенно днем, мало. Да и как гулять, если от воды сильно пахнет канализацией.
