Very cool! They read the accompanying text only in Chinese, but in principle the idea is already clear.
Music, dancing, costumes, lighting, special effects - everything is top notch. Everything takes place in the open air, it’s very beautiful, the lenses in my eyes have dried out because of how round they were from what they saw. And the mountain was illuminated with lights, and there were fireworks, and white doves at the very end. By the way, we didn’t see any empty seats.
We visited on Monday after visiting the Terracotta Army, and around 4 pm we took the cheapest tickets (300 yuan). When you buy tickets and attend the show, by the way, you will in any case end up in a park where you can take a walk before the show. We didn’t know this, and we came with the expectation of seeing the park in advance, so we bought tickets to the park separately (120 yuan). They politely asked us from the park at about 7 pm, saying that for the show we would have to go inside again, but from the other side. The show itself lasts an hour and is performed several times during the evening. We had tickets for the earliest performance - at 20-10. Then, respectively, at 21-20, 22-30 (about that).

This show was simply stunning. The show is in Chinese, but you really don’t need to understand a word to be mesmerized. The visual effects are literally mind blowing, each one building bigger and more spectacular than the last. They did things I did not know were possible. The music was gripping, and the dancing was in a class of its own. The colors and the costumes were the most vibrant I have ever seen - and I’ve “done” Disney and all those usual things. An emotional roller-coaster I must admit to having a tear in my eye at the end. Breathtaking - if you visit Xi’an you simply must see this spectacle.

It’s open air so if it’s cold, and/or raining it’s quite unpleasant and perfect for a cold. All above was our case.
They herd you like sheep for 30min+ before you enter. there is no need to arrive early since seats are numbered

A friend recommended the show and I had low expectations. It was just FANTASTIC! It is beautiful, well planned, amazing performance, beautiful costumes… absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend to watch this high quality performance!
I have no idea why it does not show up as the top 10 attractions in Xi’an.
The Huaqing palace is also beautiful and it has thermal waters. You can take a bath (295yuan) or sip a tea with your feet resting in the hot water (50yuan).

Like often in China, this performance is very visual. Eventough i do not understand a story (everything in Chinese) but whole show take my full concentration. Visual, beutiful, amazing... If you find yourself in Xi'an you wont disappoint if decide to see this show.

The planet is littered with attractions and events which promise so much yet invariably disappoint,banished from memory.....this is a very rare exception.

This was my 3rd time seeing this spectacle - which is the only word that half describes its epicness! I brought my Mum back 1 year ago when she visited China & my boyfriend last night on a weekend away from Beijing. They were both blown away by the scale & grandeur of it, as was I even at my 3rd viewing. Its a massive one of a kind production - hands down the best live event Ive ever experienced & I work in theatre!! The story is so touching & its beautifully portrayed, while the technical elements of the show simply stun you from beginning to end! An absolute MUST see!!

The show is performed in the location where the story is about which makes this authentic. The dance and light performance are in variety which gives u a couple of wow moments. The director is a master in leveraging the natural landscape, authentic location and even animals to create the visual impacts. Strongly recommended.

Awesomely beautiful customs, dancing by the performers, Chinese classical music, insightful cultural content, stage lighting effects, and more. The Tang dynasty story of an emperor and his favourite concubine was nice, although I don’t have the expertise to understand it fully.

the show of Song of Everlasting Sorrow starts from April 1th to October 31th every year, if you visit on December, I suggest you watch other show in Xi'an city.

Hi, I'm so confused about how to book tickets to this show. I want to book two tickets for the show without the dinner for next Tuesday and have been trying for a month or so and can't figure out a way to buy them! I emailed them and got no reply, doesn't seem to be a way to purchase through the website and you need a Chinese ID# if you want to book on Meituan. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thank you!
