For beginners this is a good start. Most part of rivers are calm...The rapid is not that fast enough and the rocks are generally ok...It is good for family with young kids for them to try it out...

There are total of 9 of us took this water spot where 3 kids age from 8 to 10. The other two age at 12 years old. None of them has experience it before and so eagerness to face the challenge. Due to risk concern, we have chosen Kiulu River as testing ground since the current is more suitable for beginner .
All of us enjoyed the trip which took approximately an hour to complete. It will be fun if you went in group. Enjoy !!!

Advisable for adventurer to go straight to Padas River as kiulu river is more for young kids and safety concern first timer. Adrenaline junkie will find it boring & a waste of time

I having a camping here with my coursemates. We doing many thing such rafting and wall climbing which is first time for me and my friends. Its really enjoy and unforgetable

We went rafting here for half a day - great day out from KK. River is lovely and it's relaxing watching the scenery as you make your way down the river. 'Rapids' are very tame so you'll have fun so long as you're not expecting a white knuckle experience.

We, a group of seniors in the sixties, had a very exciting experience in White Water Rafting @ Kiulu River, Tuaran of Sabah.The water is crystal clear and the environment is serene and cooling. The rafting activity was rather callenging for us, but nevertheless we had overcome all the obstacles we faced throughout the journey. Bravo!

Had a FAM trip to the Kiulu River with some new friends and colleague. It's only took us about 45min drive from the city centre. Fast forward, when we reached the destination, the guide brief us the do and dont's before entering the water. The water was cold but refreshing.
We were divided into 6 pax for each boats since there's quite a number of us in group. So we take about 1hr 55 min to be exact for the water rafting. Nice activity for family and kids since the water level are low. The Guide said Kiulu water rafting is for level 1 and 2 only.

Nice, fun, relaxing morning adventure for family with kids of all ages. Nothing too scary, no rapids (at least not in August), but a smooth floating experience, a chance to breath some fresh air and sunshine, to dip in the river, and to photograph mount Kinabalu that looms in the distance. You get completely soaked by the time you're done (the guide make sure of that...). Fun "water-wars" with the other boats. And a great lunch at the end of the 8 kilometer route. Perfect day.

Nice and beautiful scenery. Water is clear. It would be better if the rafting is on raining season as the water level is higher.
