Good station. Some parts are just complicated to follow and might get a bit crowded sometimes. It's still a yood place to enter Malaysia via Singapore.

It's bloody horrible, there are no signs, it's impossible to find your way in and out and they don't have any luggage storage facilities.

Located just opposite Holiday Inn & City Square and a short walk from Amari JB, the Railway Station is conveniently located next to the CIQ customs complex (where public buses trot between JB and Singapore). The KTM shuttle takes only 5 minutes from JB to Singapore and vice versa. It is affordable at RM5 or SG5 from Singapore to JB. Clearing customs at both ends are relatively fuss-free. (Apart for the mad rush onto the train where everyone rushes the moment the JB customs Officer lifts the barrier).

The train station is conveniently located in downtown JB. It is a fast way to get to Woodlands Singapore. The station is new and clean. It is close to the shopping center and the busy Jalan Wong Ah Fook.

Taking the train is definitely the most efficient way to get from JB to Singapore: the ride only takes 5 mins and the cost is only 5 MYR. But the big problem is that you normally can't get tickets as they normally sell out almost immediately after being released. To discourage residents from visiting JB the Singapore government restricts the number of trains each day across the border, meaning that most people have to go through the hell of the causeway experience. But the train is much more civilised - you might almost think you're at an efficient border if your only experience were the train.

cakaren ako taka neexistuje,caka sa v hale,kym nie je otvoreny nastup do vlaku,batozina prechadza kontrolou skoro ako na letisku...cestovny listok doporucujem kupovat v predstihu,na poslednu chvilu moze byt vlak vypredany a to sa tyka najma vlakov do Singapuru

I got my transport to Singapore from this station. As terminals go, JB Sentral has decent facilities and has an integrated customs checkpoint. I bought my ticket to Singapore at the KTM ticket counter for the next day. So all these things help to save a little bit of time I suppose. The system is very efficient though as the ticketing is automated and once you clear Malaysian immigration, getting to the train for Singapore is also very straightforward. The shops at JB Sentral aren’t amazing, but there’s plenty of eateries and even a Starbucks. If you need Singapore Dollars, there’s several currency shops with competitive exchange rates.

Surprising that the station is situated in the shopping mall. I have been to shopping malls several times but never noticed that the station is just right at the corner.

We purchased our tickets in person, a day before our travel. We went to the ticket booth early on the day and the earliest ticket they gave us is 10.30am. The guy said, other times are fully booked. Twas in April.

Hi.
If u are on public transport or pte vehicle (taxi or pte hire), the journey depends on traffic conditions. At times u can be cleared within 20mins (for both immigration sides - non peak hour), otherwise, be prepeared to sit/stand and wait for as long as 3hrs or more (for peak hours and super-peak hours like eve of Public Holiday or school holidays)
If u are taking the KTM train from Singapore Woodlands to JB sentral, the whole process might be abt 30mins (top - not including waiting time to board the train at Woodlands CIQ or JB Sentral).
I suggest u do Bookings for the KTM trains (either 1 way or with returns) via EasyBookcom.
If u taking public transport, buses like 950 (from Woodlands Interchange), 160 (from Kranji MRT) can be used.
Pte hires from JB to Singapore can be taken at JB sentral, but they charge at RM60 per Person.

There’s sbs transit bus 170 to queen transit from JB Sentral (this far cheaper than causeway link), but sure it takes sometimes to reach there, you can pay the fares to driver or you have nets or EZlink card you can easily tap in.

There’s no direct train, catch the diesel goes to Tampin/Pulau Sebang, if you lucky enough you can catch the commuter service to KL.

For travellers from S'pore, change train at Johor Bahru Sentral Station. Take the KTM to Tampin/Pulau Sebang (then take a cab or bus to Melaka); or to Seremban direct. There is no direct service to Melaka town itself.

The train goes to Singapore’s Woodlands train checkpoint. From there you need to take a taxi (or uber/ grab if you have the app) to your destination as the train checkpoint is not connected by the MRT network.
