Dwarkadhish means King of Mathura.. Lord Krishna is called Dwarkadhish. An easily approachable temple by road . You have to get down at main road and go to temple in a narrow road by E rikshaw. In temple on either side is Male/ Female area . There are counters to collect coupons for Darshan with prasad easily available inside premises.

Dwarkadhish Temple is one of the oldest and one of the most visited temple in Mathura.
It's in narrow bylanes so better reach by auto or walking ...Parking of vehicles won't be easy.
Always check the timings of opening and closing to avoid disappointment.
You can leave your shoes at a nearby shop for just Re 1 per pair.
1 Needs to climb few stairs inside temple.
Vishraam Ghat is at walking distance.
Plenty of options to enjoy street food, rabdi, lassi etc

Dwarkadish Temple is must visit at Mathura. Its always crowded, do take care of your footwear. Best is to buy pooja thali from shops outside and request them to take care of your footwear. Beware of fake pandits for Pooja offering. Must visit for Hindu.

Dwarkadhish Temple Mathura is one of the oldest and most visited temple in Mathura. Here Shree Krishna along with Radha rani ji is in the avatar of Dwarkadheesh (King of Dwarka). The temple is pretty ornate with Rajasthani style architecture and the ceiling of the main temple is very nicely decorated with beautiful murals. We reached temple at around 3:45 when it was closed for darshan, so we picked up a nice spot at the front, and at 4:20pm when the darshan opened, we got the best possible darshan.
Do not think of driving to this place, best is to park the car somewhere (we parked at the Municipal Parking near Pothra Kund) and worked with e-rickshaws for the rest.

Dwarkadish ki Jai! A beautiful temple loaded with pilgrims. The walk to the temple is quite dirty though - with they had maintained the narrow bylanes more neatly. People dont maintain any sense of distance or personal space and so it can be difficult to navigate between the crowd.

Dwarkadhish temple is a must visit temple in mathura. It is near the vishram ghat and in the old mathura city. The architecture of the temple is beautiful. The place is charged up by devotees and the energy level is very high. At the same time, it is very peaceful. Must visit.

The temple closes by 11 am. So make sure to reach on time. Best is to hire an e-rickshaw from main road - standard fare is Rs. 10

I feel so lucky to have experienced celebrating Holi at the birthplace of Krishna in Mathura. I am a female and went here with two female friends and we were fine. We were never touched inappropriately as I have read from a few others. We only attended from 9:45am to 11am, so it may be that we got out before everyone got drunk. There were a few other females in attendance as well.
The temple floors were covered in chalk and water from the water balloons. There was plenty of singing and dancing set by a few men in the center who were on a raised platform. It was amazing to be a part of this.
