Great way to spend an afternoon

This was our second visit to Hot Sand. We went last year when in Asbury Park and made sure to make it a point to come back. This is a unique experience that allows you to make a one of a kind souvenir. The people who work you are great. While there I made a vase. The glass blower/ artist who worked with me walked me through the process step by step and explained the science, techniques, and art behind glassblowing. The vase will be shipped to my in about a week ( it take a bit for it to cool and be finished). It will go perfectly with the candy dish I made last year. They have safe projects for the little ones too.

What a great place! I brought a group of friends here while we were on a girls weekend & we really enjoyed ourselves. They have a large variety of items to make & the instructors were really great. Will definitely go back again.

Such a fun experience!

What an awesome experience! We stumbled upon this gem walking back from lunch down the street. We made reservations online the next day to do glass handprints with our daughter. Everybody we talked to there was friendly and knowledgeable. If you didn’t want to make your own glass art they had a wide variety of items to choose from. They even offered engraving on our glass hand prints. We can’t wait for the final product to be shipped to us.

This is a must experience ...

we had 3 children under the age of 6 and 2 adults multi-generational and everyone had a great time. The 3 children did a glass mosaic to hang on the wall in their favorite colors and they each loved the experience. The two adults chose paperweights to create. They are gorgeous! Everyone at Hot Sand helped and explained every step along the way and helped us to create beautiful designs. And since we could not take them home with us (they need time to cool down and they become even more beautiful) Hot Sand shipped them to our house and they arrived in perfect condition.

interesting shop and a place to actually try glass blowing!

We went into this interesting looking shop w/ many lovely objects, ornaments, bowls and other thing. Colorful and unique. Then we discovered that you could actually try your hand a glass blowing! I wish we would have had the time to try this out. I'm sure it would be a definite 5+, as the instructor working w/ a customer seemed knowledgeable, focused and absorbed in the task at hand.

A wonderful place to stop. Even though it is fairly spacious, I would be very careful before taking little ones, or strollers in this shop. Too many interesting things to touch, right at eye level!

I was looking for something different to do for my birthday. This was such a unique idea. It was very easy to make an online reservation for your time slot. When making the reservation, you pick what you want to create, however, you don’t pay until you are there so it’s no problem to switch it up. My husband and I each made drinking glasses and my daughter made a vase. The craftsmen there explained everything thoroughly. It was a lot of fun. Just as an FYI ... you either have to return in a week to pick up your creations or pay to have them shipped.

We have traveled the country in our RV. Always travel with our Black Lab. Hot Sands was VERY pet friendly and will recommend them to anyone! We had her paw print done and looking forward to having it shipped to our home. This place rocks!!!!
