Another smaller temple within the Angkor Thom complex. Difficult to reach, mostly by walking but if you can manage it, do not be shy in passing it by. No crowds and ability to see it without others around. It is another temple that is partially jungle and foliage covered.

There are so many many temples in Siam Reap, thousands.
And most of us are in Siam Reap for only very few days.
We were there for 5 days and still had to make the best of them by taking the 3 day tours which got us to the best Temples and many more since on our way to them we stopped as much as possible (yes, it was tiring, but worth it).
This Temple is really not on par with the other ones if you consider the Archeological or Architecture aspects.
It is really small and the only thing which make it perhaps worth of your time is that since it is isolated and need a good walk to get there, so you will enjoy an almost total silent atmosphere.
If this is what you are looking for, the serenity, silence, nature and stones, no tourists, no people almost at all, then this is a place for you.
But as I wrote you'd need to make time for it while there are many other interesting things in Siam Reap.
You could instead visit the modern Temples in the center of the city, like Wat Bo, Wat preah prom rath or Wat Dam Nak.
You could take a tuktuk and visit the floating village (at sunset of course), or even going farther and visit other beautiful Temples like Koh Ker or natural reserves like Kulen Mountain.
There are many ways to make the best of your time.
But if you are in Siam Reap for more than a week, then why not ?

The temple is located in the corner of Angkor Thom, not many people are able to reach because it is only accessible by foot and bike or motorbike while the access road. From the gate of Preah Khan is a very difficult road. But here is a nice view, we can see the surrounding water and also see the dam in the distance, while the temple has a good visual style similar to other temples.

We took the Kongkear Angkor boat tour (Separate review on TA) as a bonus offering from our resort. Our day started at 5am with the sunrise at Angkor Wat and when we finished there we headed over to the south gate at Angkor Thom. The boat pier is not far from there and our guide suggested we take advantage of the clear skies enjoy the diversion.
It's a nice boat trip - in order to get to the corner ruin, you'd have to walk about 1.5 km (each wall is about 3km long). With the boat trip, you save yourself some walking.
I wouldn't want to go out of my way to trek the distance but the boat is convenient and since it is a bit remote, you'll probably have the place to yourself.
We visited the SW temple, which is the one it seems most people get to. The 4 Bayon-styled temples are adorned with devatas and were originally Buddhist. The Hindu ruler, Jayavarman VIII, changed that by converting/defacing the buddha statues into linga.
We visited early in the day but I could see this spot offering a great sunset view!
Not sure about how crowded it would be at that time. When we were there a bike tour was also visiting and as we all left, another popped in.
You will need a park pass to get to this location, so it's something you need to knock out during your angkor park touring.

I believe there are 4 of these little temples at the corners of the Angkor Thom complex.
We visited the SE one. Immediately on entering the South gate, we walked about 1.5 km to the corner of the complex along a little path with lots of butterflies.
Took a while in the heat but we were rewarded with this little temple all to ourselves.
Lots more sites to see around Angkor Thom, so skip this if 3 km walk doesn't interest you !!
