Surprisingly fun!

This was a last minute trip. Kids wanted to try quad bike and the other famous one was full and this was the other option (cheaper as well) which we took. Had to be honest we were a bit disappointed when arrived and even more so when we were told “no insurance”. The four of us went ahead with 2 drivers as we had our own insurance. The ride turned out to be so fun and memorable for both adults and kids. The bike took some times to get used to, and it got more fun especially when we went on rocky track. The drivers were very experienced and one was assisting me (mum) to steer and control. We also visited few interesting attractions along the way. Special thanks to the 2 drivers who took such good care of us. We felt safe and had fun at the same time. Will recommend this tour!

Don't take the risk

We booked a tour through an agency and therefore couldn't chose the atv park ourselves. We are quite sure it said something about insurance as well. When we got there however, we were given a piece of paper each to fill out and read - and then the man said "no insurance". Obviously we should have left at this point which we didn't. We were then given an atv each and had to do a practice round - the instruction was: here's the brake and here's the gas... And go. I think we were about 7-8 persons who drove. I got stuck on the first lap (have never driven anything in my life) and was told to take another practice 'll which was much better (in my opinion). After this it was time to go out from the "headquarter", but I was told "lady cannot drive", and two other young women were told that as well, we had at this time spend about 7-8 minutes on the practice laps. So if we wanted to go on the trip we had to sit with someone else. I teamed up with my husband and I'm not going to lie: it was very fun and very entertaining. But I still don't understand why we (women) couldn't drive. We took the 1 hour tour and the landscape we drove in was not too difficult. I have a feeling that they saved some of the atv's so it was only a few that had to be used. I think we ended up being 3 atv's with customers and 2 with guides and the 2 other women who couldn't drive either.
I don't recommend this place at all - it is part of the safari park as well (which also seems sketchy). You should try riding an atv though - just stay away from this place!

Best fun had on Koh Samui

We did the 4 hour trip which went for nearly 6. Awesome, thanx to French guides and others keeping us safe and under control.. Must do it again if we go back...

Bremsversagen ! Dem Tod ins Auge gesehen und noch teuer dafür bezahlt.

Wir waren sechs Personen verteilt auf 4 Quats. Die Fahrzeuge konnten wir auf dem Areal auf einer kleinen Buckelpiste testen. Dafür durften wir den Rundkurs einmal abfahren was etwa 30 Sekunden dauerte. Dann gings mit einem Führer los. Dieser fuhr die ganze Zeit als vordestes Fahrzeug. Der Höhepunkt war die Aussicht auf der höchsten Stelle der Insel. Danach folgte die Rückfahrt zum Startpunkt dem ATV Park in Namuang. Wie schon gesagt fuhren wir in Kollonne hinter dem Guide, in regelmässigen abständen und ohne zu überholen. Ich sass am Steuer des letzten Fahrzeuges mit meiner Frau auf dem Rücksitz, als zuerst die Fussbremse und anschliessend die Handbremsen versagten. Da der Quat ein Automatengetriebe hatte, waren wir dem Schicksal ausgeliefert, da es dadurch keinen Weg mehr gab das Fahrzeug irgendwie zu bremsen. Wir fuhren etwa 50 km/h und wurden immer schneller. Wir überholten laut schreiend die vorderen Quats, auch den Guide, der uns zuschrie, dass wir nicht überholen dürfen und sofort bremsen sollen. Das wir aufrecht auf der Fussbremse stehend, die Handbremsen bis zum Anschlag durchgedrückt, " HELP ! NO BRAKE ! HELP ! " schrien, hat er wohl missverstanden. Wir rasten also den Berg herunter links und rechts Felswände und vor uns erwartete uns eine 90° Kurve. Um die Kurve zu kriegen, waren wir zu schnell, also blieb mir noch abzuspringen oder geradeaus in eine Palmenplantage zu fahren. Abspringen war jedoch keine wirkliche Option, da ich meine Frau in dieser schwierigen Situation nicht alleine lassen wollte, wählte ich die Plantage, mit dem Ziel allen Palmen auszuweichen. Frontal in eine Palme, wäre unser Todesurteil gewesen. Ich hatte ungemeines Glück, denn ich war recht erfolgreich im Ausweichen, wusste jedoch, dass das nicht noch lange gutgehen würde. Und so riss ich im richtigen Moment den Lenker um 90° herum, wodurch wir schräg nach vorne weiter flogen, während der Quat seitlich, sich überschlagend, den Hang hinunter pflugte. Wären meine Frau relativ weich, auf mir, landete und nur einige Kratzer davon trug, traf es mich etwas schwerer, unter anderem mit einem Beckenbruch, einer tiefen Schnittwunde und einer Hirnerschütterung. Noch im Spital teilte mir das Unternehmen mit, dass ich den defekten Quat zu bezahlen hätte, da die Bremsen des Quat vorher immer einwandfrei funktioniert hätten und der Schaden aufgrund meines unerlaubten Abstechers in die Palmenplkantage entstanden sei. Die Forderung wurde unterstrichen durch massive Drohungen gegen die auf Samui lebende Familie meiner Frau. So hat mich dieses Abenteuer schlussentlich auch noch rund 80'000 Baht gekostet.

Awesome and challenging

My partner and I have a bit of riding experience which was lucky because some of the terrain was pretty full on, but I had an absolute buzz. A fair few people did struggle but the guides seemed to do a good job helping them through.

תנין בזמן הרחצה במפל

היינו עם קבוצה של כמה משתתפים בטיול ספארי
בעת הרחצה במפל אחת המשתתפות הבחינה בתנין מתקרב אליה
זה נראה הזוי אבל זה היה יכול להסתיים אחרת לגמרי
הגישה לאגם תחת המפל מאד לא נוחה
סלעים משוננים
המים חומים
אפשר להגיע רק כדי לצלם
אבל לא להיכנס למפל.

Great experience!

Dont listen to the bad reviews, we came with doubts because of them. The crew was really funny and helpful, the trip was amazing, our best experience on koh samui. After the trip our hands hurt, we were full of dust and dirt, but it was worth it. If you can bring some eye protection preferably closed protection. You will get your legs wet so try wearing some sandles or spmething, i came with sneakers and the were soaked wet.

fun in the mud

Great trip and worth the cost. We went with a small group and had a fun time. We were advised to do this by friends of ours who had done it a week before us. They said that when they did it there was just a small group who stayed for the two hours and this allowed them a lot of freedom to drive quickly. Unfortunately for me, our small group was one of two other big groups who stayed for the 2hours. This meant a more cautious approach from the guides, which i understood. However this was only a minor flaw as the outing was as enjoyable as anything we did on our trip to Koh Samui. Highly recommended, but there are a few hairy moments and one particular hill which caused problems. Still we had no quadding experience and managed it fine. I would also recommend the 2 hours as apposed to the one hour. The one hour is short and level and misses all the fun, exciting and dangerous stuff.

Great quad bike trek

Booked this after x quad failed to answer any emails. Really pleased we did. Booked though samuipedia really easily/answered emails promptly. We were south of island so no free pick up for the 1 hour trek so booked the 20 minute at waterfall 1 and hoped they would extend. Picked us up bang on time and took us to park. Asked if we'd like to pay extra for 1 hour trek to waterfall. Me and daughter opted to stick to the 20 minute ride through the tacks which ended up well over half an hour and hubbie and son went into jungle on 1 hour trek and had a great time, saw waterfall and elephants. Guides pleasant and helpful. Bikes not pristine and no insurance but not a problem if you drive sensibly. Loved the flexibility. Would highly recommend
