I've seen modrrn art that spoke to me more

I'm not at all adverse to modern art and have seen many inspiring or fascinating examples across North America and Europe. Whoever is curating here and I must be on a different wavelength. Nothing here stirred my soul and almost nothing here made me want to linger or study further. It's not a huge collection worthy of the Smithsonian and much of what's there is either bizarre or just bland.

Explore a top modern art museum

Went to see a specific exhibit before it left the museum. John Akomfrah's Purple exhibit did not disappoint. This video is an hour long image and sound exhibit which showed themes around climate change (disappearing landscapes, etc). Images were striking. Music was hypnotic. Purple plays across six large screens. The carpet is in a deep shade of purple. I'm told it's the color of mourning in Ghana where this London-based artist is from.

Yayoi Kusama en el Hirshorn

Visitamos este museo de arte contemporáneo para disfrutar de la exposición One with Eternity: Yayoi Kusama (previa reserva online).
Las esculturas y las salas inmersivas de Yayoi son espectaculares, llenas de color y arte infinito.
También me sorprendieron gratamente las exposiciones permanentes, originales, modernas y a puro color.

Nice museum

Very interesting museum. Nice exhibits, some abstract and some apparent but really good mixture of both. The staff were also nice. I would really like to see the garden area so once the renovations are done, I will probably go back to see that part of the exhibit as they were intended. Overall good experience and a little bit more than what I expected.

Very Nice Modern Art Collection

This is my 4th visit to DC and I have seen all of the major museums. I wanted to visit some of the 2nd tier collections. This was a very enjoyable experience. I did not find it as crowded as some of the other museums. There was a very wide range of art in a number of different mediums. There were several collections on display. The photography of China was very interesting. You need a free ticket for the Kusama exhibit.

Must see museum for lovers of modern art

This is a relatively modest-sized museum that you can cover in about 1.5 hours if you take your time, or even less if you are in a rush. Though I did not enjoy all of the exhibits, I found some of them brilliant, and would absolutely recommend coming here if you like modern art.

Pretty Cool

The structure of the museum is pretty cool. It is circular and the exhibit is circular so you go around and around in circles so that’s pretty cool. And the exhibit that was there it was pretty awesome. it was interactive and immersive where are your within the piece itself. I can’t remember the artist’s name but it was pretty cool. Cool that’s the word for this museum.

Arrive at 9:30 For an Infinity Room ticket

Got in line to get a free ticket at 9:25 a.m. And was able to get a pass for 10:30 to see the exhibit. This is on a busy Saturday in August, so don't stress out about getting there too early. The exhibits were beautiful. Enjoyed some of the art on the third floor until my ticket time was up, then got to explore the incredible Infinity rooms. Absolutely worth it.

El museo se encuentra en la explanada nacional y cuenta con un jardín artístico donde se exhiben esculturas de arte contemporáneo.

Al interior cuenta con exhibiciones del mismo carácter modernista.
