Majestic building

What a nice building! And just from the outside... It looks majestic and the fountain in front of it looks nice, unfortunately it was not working when we visited. Also, we visited when some university thingy was happening, there were a lot of students, some concerts and a lot of stands with flags from all around the world, so accidentaly we experienced some University spirit. It is, as far as I know, the greatest University in Hungary and also one of the good places to study abroad.

Находится рядом с паарком,зоопарком и термальным комплексом,поэтому можно все в один день

Gyönyörű épület, előtte szökőkút, nyáron ebédidőben nagyon hangulatos lehet, ahogy a diákok kirajzanak a "tó" partjára kajálni. Igazi nyugati egyetem feelingje van, hasonlót Londonban, Greenwichben láttam.

Wonderful Building

A beautiful building indeed. The fountain at the front contains some beautiful art works and sculptures. The building is very accessible and had a beautiful main hall. Do visit if you are in Debrecen.

After a hike through the great debrecen forest we ended up here, it's a very impressive building, in a beautiful setting, all very well maintained, definitely worth taking a look at

Een mooi plaats in Debrecen

Het hoofdgebouw is vrij toegankelijk en voor het hoofdgebouw is er een tuin met verschillende standbeelden. Een van de betere en groene plaatsen in Debrecen.

Functional and aesthetic building with majestic proportions

The main building of the University of Debrecen was built bw 1927 – 1932. When inaugurated this was the third biggest building in Hungary after the Parliament and the Castle of Buda (both to be found in the capital). It is really monumental and still serves as the home of numerous University Departments and other establishments. Its central court, a multi-storey, glass-covered atrium is a unique sight and impresses the visitor being an internationally relevant architectural gem. It is home to the regular doctoral degree award ceremonies and other celebrations. It is worth just to take a stroll within the building, or around at the carefully manicured park. You are free to discover the many adjacent old or new buildings of one of Europe’s nicest university campus.

Годом основания считается 1538 год, когда в Дебрецене был открыт кальвинистский колледж. Заведение многократно трансформировалось и реорганизовывалось. Первое университетское учреждение на базе дебреценских вузов сформировано в 1912 году (Королевский университет Дебрецена), впоследствии он был разделён.
В совеменном состоянии учреждён в 2000 году в результате слияния университетов Дебрецена — сельскохозяйственного, медицинского и естественнонаучного Университета имени Кошута. По состоянию на 2010-е годы университет принимает около 32 тыс. студентов, из них более 3 тыс. — из зарубежья.
Факультеты — агрономии, искусств, стоматологии, экономических наук, медицины, информатики, права, музыки, фармации, естественных наук и технологий, общественного здравоохранения, инженерный, педагогики. В университете два крупных кампуса — старый, в нём расположено большинство факультетов, а также ботанический сад, в кампусе Кашшай размещены факультеты экономики и права.
В универстете есть кафедра русского язика (именно в центральном здании), и бывают студенты из России.
Перед университетом есть фонтан. Есть обычие, что после гос. экзамена студенты ввойдут фантан.

Látványos és hatalmas a Debreceni Egyetem főépülete. A Nagyerdei séta kiindulási pontja lehet. Nem messze a Botanikus kettőtől és a Nagyerdötől.
