Dzięki temu muzeum w przystępny sposób dowiedziałam się że Mazowsze kiedyś centrum metalurgicznym na skalę europejska. Obejrzeć można ciekawe wyroby rzemieślnicze kultury przeworskiej - byłam zaskoczona precyzją wykonania, detalami i kunsztem. Nawet jeśli nie interesujesz się historią hutnictwa to poznasz wiele innych zapomniany rzemiosł np. rogarstwo. Muzuem jest niewielkie, oferuje sporą dawkę multimediów a wejście jest bezpłatne. Koniecznie!

The museum is very small, but the exhibits are well laid out.
There are a number of interactive displays in English.
Staff were helpful and informative.

Male ale bardzo interesujace muzeum. Wstep wolny. Sporo multimediow i ciekawostek dla dzieci. Zdecydowanie godne uwagi przy pobycie w Pruszkowie.

Bardzo ciekawe muzeum z wyjątkową wystawą. Zachęcam do wizyty z dziećmi, które na pewno nie będą się nudzić!

Right in the centre of Pruszków town, surrounded by large town park. Our sat-nav sent us to the back of the museum, where there's no access to the site. The only access is from Bolesława Prusa street, but signage prohibits any motorised traffic (we decided to ignore it, judging after a large number of cars parked behind the sign) - and you should find a space on side streets. Museum occupies a large building, which used to be a part of Potulicki family mansion estate - ruined after WWII, restored, and from 1975 dedicated for the museum. And the museum concentrates on ancient metalurgy activities in Mazovia, which probably was the second largest (after Świętokrzyskie region, still in Poland) such region in "barbarian" Europe of middle ages. Museum consists of two small rooms on ground floor and one large upstairs. Exposition is brand new, as it was completely rearranged in recent years. When we got there this place took part in night at the museum, with many attractions for kids - all of that had to be carried out outdoors, as there's no room in the building. We didn't pay for entry, but not sure, if that's usual, or was it just for that one night.

Muzeum zlokalizowane zostało w dawnej oficynie dworskiej pałacu Potulickich w Pruszkowie .Muzeum Starożytnego Hutnictwa Mazowieckiego im. Stefana Woydy –utworzone zostało w 1975 roku. . Główna tematyka muzeum archeologicznego skupia się wokół Mazowieckiego Centrum Metalurgicznego. Jest to nieduże muzeum, interaktywne , warte obejrzenia. W trakcie prowadzonych od 1968 r. prac archeologicznych, dokonano istotnego odkrycia jednego z najważniejszych na Równinie Łowicko-Błońskiej ośrodków metalurgicznych w Europie. Odkrycie to przyczyniło się do utworzenia placówki muzealnej. gdzie znajdują się materiały i eksponaty z wykopalisk. Prezentowane są także:
- rekonstrukcje przedmiotów codziennego użytku, broni, narzędzi, ozdób wykonanych z poroża, żelaza, szkła i drewna.
- uzbrojenie i ubranie legionistów rzymskich oraz strój zamożnego obywatela.
- dla dzieci stworzono kącik edukacyjny i aplikację multimedialną.
W oranżerii muzeum odbywają się kameralne koncerty.
- rekonstrukcje przedmiotów codziennego użytku, broni, narzędzi, ozdób wykonanych z poroża, żelaza, szkła i drewna.
- uzbrojenie i ubranie legionistów rzymskich oraz strój zamożnego obywatela.
- dla dzieci stworzono kącik edukacyjny i aplikację multimedialną.
W oranżerii muzeum odbywają się kameralne koncerty.

Quite hidden, in the small town of Pruszkow, a unique exhibit centered on ancient iron smelting "industry" of Mazovia. The museum itself, located in a beautiful mansion surrounded by a park, is very compact, state-of-the-art interactive. The displayed artifacts are also explained in English (even German). There's path for kids with educational games etc.
