We visited the Blue Baths while touring the Government Gardens in Rotorua. The building surrounding the pools is a prominent feature in the gardens, with it's lovely Spanish mission-style exterior and art deco arches. The beautiful blue pools contain geothermally heated water. At the time we visited, the pools were open for public bathing from 10 to 6 daily for $11 per person.

We went swimming her on 2 afternoons after our main activities of the day. The water is beautiful and the pools are tiled, quaint, and look like 1930. The bathhouse is mind blowing ancient facility that still works! The admission was only 11$NZD per person, bring your own towel.

The Blue Baths was the location of our annual works conference and what a fantastic place it was.
The history of the place makes it really special and having dinner in, or should I say on the indoor swimming pool, was quite intriguing.

Si estás varios días en Rotorua merece la pena entrar a relajarse un rato en los históricos Blue Baths, cuando estuvimos nosotros casi no había gente y nos sentó genial.

This was a special place to have a swim - very atmospheric, very quiet and very cheap! You can just visit the place, but why not enjoy the pool?

For $11 these baths are great value. Although old and in need of some further TLC you get 2 hot pools and 1 swimming pool .
Our visit was wonderful with the temperature being 32” in the shade.
Just a shame the upstairs cafe has shut as we would have used it.

We stopped at the Blue Baths for morning tea on our way to Te Puia Thermal Pools and Geysers. I Liked the way the old pool had been filled and finished with a concrete floor painted blue. The character and architecture of this old building is amazing. This art deco building opened in 1933 as Rotorua's first Thermal Bathing facility and operated as such until the 1960's when the opening of another public baths saw it's patronage decline and forced it's closure.
After a number of years the building was remodelled with the intention of it being a function centre. What used to be the main pool (Olympic size) is now set out with tables.
The scones we were served with our Devonshire tea were very nice, everyone was asking for more. This visit was with a tour group and the cost was included in the tour price so I cannot comment on cost.

ロトルア博物館（現在閉鎖中）の近くにあります。ちゃんと営業していて入場料を払えば入ることができます。入口のある建物も古い感じでとても良いです。

We found this excellent swimming pool by accident while walking in the public gardens near the currently closed Rotorua Museum.
As described by other reviewers the baths look Roman in style on the outside and after collecting our swimming gear from our car and paying the very modest entrance fee we found the inside also looked Roman.
The inside pool has previously been filled in and is used as an events venue. However the outside pool is still in use and we had a great swim. There was only one other couple using the pool and another gentleman came in to use the plunge pool at the side.
The water is chlorinated but is heated geothermal you by an adjacent hot spring. The temperature is pleasantly warm in the main pool and is hotter in the two side plunge pools, ideal for relaxing tired muscles.
Why this pool is not better advertised is surprising. The nearby Polonesian Spa seems to get all the publicity. Why not try the Blue Baths instead.
