the road leading to pyramid rock is surrounded by farmlands

keep a lookout for wallabies. they are either on the farm or nearby shrubs.

once there, you get onto a boardwalk to the viewing platforms for pyramid rock.

best visited during low tide to see the pyramid in full glory

Well signed posted and not too far off the main road, this was a great spot to stretch the legs and enjoy the view.

We went on a very windy day and appreciated the well maintained walkway

Fantastic scenery

Was not disappointed - it's as cool in real life as it is in online photos. Plenty of room in the carpark and it was an easy walk down a boardwalk to the lookout. It's also a good place for whale watching - there's a sign that discusses the optimal time of year to come looking for whales and what to look for. Be mindful of the dirt road that you need to take to get here; it is fairly sturdy but some areas are rougher than others.

We came here as part of our self drove tour - saw the sign so took the option of a visit and we were not disappointed
Stunning spot with a comfortable walk along walkways to the pyramid / great for photos and being a tourist !
Really pretty location and worth a

Rugged coastline views - worth the small detour

If your driving past the Grand Prix Circuit towards Ventnor, your next left hand turn is Pyramid Rock Road.

Drive to the end and then it is a short walk from the parking area to the viewing platform.

Easy access and well worth a look, especially on clear days.

Spend some time and look for whales (during the season) and you can also spot seals on the rocks – bring binoculars.

Missed seeing this on our previous visit but made sure to catch it this time. A short gravel track to the car park and then a easy stroll on a timber walkway to the lookout. Well worth the effort (or no effort really) and you get a lovely view of the basalt outcrop being battered by waves coming from Antartica! You get a good view of the southern coast of PI & a nice rock to admire! I felt sorry for the bloke living right on the edge of the road, dust swirls from every car that visits.

Ever changing lookout awesome for Star gazing late at night

Short walk along a made path to a look out over the bay and pyramid rock.
Ever changing weather and light means you can visit here a hundred times and always get something new.
Penguins nest in the grass either side of the walkway so be sure to stay on the path.

Worth the trouble

Bumpy and dusty - that’s what the last review says. And that about sums up the drive. But if you can push past that you are rewarded with some nice coastal views and a terrific walk - helped if you go can one way and get picked up by someone at the other end. Luckily for us we were on a private tour so this was perfectly executed.

My wife and I visited this place during our recent holiday for two nights in Phillip Island.

The scenic views are spectacular. The only downside is the unsealed bumpy and dusty road from the main road to the car park for this place. It is several kilometers to drive each way on this unsealed road.
