Would highly recommend anyone visiting Caister to call in here. A lovely lifeboat station with such friendly and helpful staff. They were just about to close when we got there but they allowed us in and gave us a wonderful talk all about the history of the station, the lifeboats and their crews and the area. The lady Tina was superb giving us so much information and knowledge and answering our questions. There are some wonderful things to look at and we were allowed to step onto one of the restored old lifeboats. It really helps you appreciate the incredibly bravery, risks and sacrifices the lifeboat crews went through putting their lives at risk to rescue people especially back when they didn't have the modern lifeboats and technology they do now. This station isn't part of the RNLI so they run on donations and are still saving many lives to this day and it costs a huge amount to run an independent lifeboat station. They will tell you all the figures and it is amazing. Please visit here, talk to the staff, and make a donation or buy something from their excellent gift shop and cafe where there are lots of very reasonably priced things. Will definitely be visiting again the next time we go to Caister.

Super nice crew and I recieved a warm welcome all though it was by chance I was there. I was taken in and given a bunch of great information about their station. Nice stop indeed

Wheelchair friendly, very knowledgably staff who are also very friendly. Great respect for the ladies and gents so put others lives before their own.

Lots of information about the work of RNLI. Viewing platform allowed you to see inside the lifeboat which was nice. Staff informative and helpful

Just turned up on a sunny but chilly November morning. The boat was on its way back in when we got there so we were lucky enough to see it return. Friendly crew who obviously are passionate about what they do and happy to tell you all about it. Little cafe inside, very cheap and a small charity shop. Very interesting for all ages and also a lovely stretch of beach to walk along. Don't forget to visit the pub just along the road the Never Turn Back, it does a lovely Sunday carvery 😋.

We were staying in beachfront caravans for the week and noticed the lifeboats being launched so popped out to watch.
Apparently, there is a training/display on the 1st of each month so we fell lucky!
Seven and two year old were enthralled and loved the tour of the station! Thank you so very much

The Lifeboat shed is always worth a visit, the brave crew may be around or informed associates who will tell you all about the boats on display. Caister Lifeboat is the best representative a village could wish for.

An independent lifeboat station that exists thanks to public donations.
This station has free admission,boasts a cafe and "loos"and has an Interactive museum. Check events and opening times before going.
