Great National Trust property.
set 2021
Six middle aged friends visited this gem of a National Trust site, and although it is definitely one of the smaller National Trust properties it is still full of treasures. We spent an hour here and it was so worth it. It was a real great start to our day trip to Great Yarmouth.

Step back in time

Worth spending an hour here if you are a National Trust member. Ignore the booking site - we visited on a Thursday and despite no tickets being available there was no problem getting entry. Each room has been staged as it would have been at some point in the building's history. Lots of written info as you walk round and a video introduction in the first room.

Visit if you are in the vercinaty

We were staying just on the outskirts of Norwich so thought this might be worth a look at as we are national trust members. We had to book tickets via Art Tickets as the council now run the place, but NT members still can go in for free.
There is a very informative film to watch as you enter, and then you can go into a few rooms, not sure if you would get to see any more after the restrictions are eased?
It took about half an hour to wonder around at our own pace.

Phone first to see if it has ticket availability.

If you are looking to visit this summer then dont rely on the booking website to be correct, as it told us it was fully booked when it was not at all. Other than that a lovely old building although not in the best part of town!

Interesting & Informative Visit
giu 2021 • Solo
Informative & Interesting visit, house is very small but good amount to see with additional information provided. Staff members very friendly & helpful. Very quiet, only visitor in the house (likely due to being out of school holidays), so no issues in terms of COVDLID regulation. One way system & hand sanitizer in place.
Would recommend a visit, don't need much time.

A little gem
ott 2019 • Coppie
We had a wonderful wall around this little gem. Amazing history beautiful presented. Hands on history great for kids. Get a Norfolk museum pass. Get into quite few places for one price. We did this plus tide time plus tollhouse for £34.20. Gets into lots more places around Norfolk.

SMALL LOCAL MUSEUM
set 2019
We visited on a free Heritage Open day. A lovely old historic building on South Quay Great Yarmouth. A friendly welcome. Quiet on the day we visted. Lots of interesting items on display in various different rooms and history of the building which has undergone many changes over the years. A nice little enclosed garden at the back. Some really interesting paintings by Norfolk artists on the walls and staircase. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
