Jyotirling and Shaktipeeth in the same vicinity
This is where Mahadev decided to stay put when Dashanan was carrying the Shivling with him to be established in his kingdom, Lanka.
Jayadurga shaktipeeth is where a part of Devi Sati’s Heart fell.
It is very interesting to see a gathbandhan tied between the kalash of these 2 temples.
The electric rickshaws will take you to the nearest possible place from where one can walk down to the temple. It’s a manageable distance.
I didn’t find any security checks at the entrance or anywhere in the temple premises. Mobile phones, electronics gadgets, purses, hand bags everything was allowed inside, when I visited.
Waiting time for the darshan depends on the time and day of your visit, festive time could have longer waiting, specially for the regular queue. I was informed that it might take 3 to 4 hours or even longer on a special day in a regular queue.
However, there is a ticket system here which can save your time and it takes about 1 hour with a ticket pass of Rs 250 per person which you can get from some agents available in the temple premises. Your entry will be from a special point after swiping and submitting the pass. All these arrangements are done by the Panda union and there doesn’t seem any government or temple trust interference. Both the queues unite at the entrance of the garbhagruh thereafter the darshans are common. It gets too crowded inside the garbhgruh so please be careful if travelling with elders and children. You have to be swift, the security doesn’t allow one to wait here any longer than a couple of seconds.
The Rs 250 is only for the quick darshan, if you wish to perform any pujas inside then you can book some Pandas for some Dakshina. It won’t be a long puja but the Panda will accompany you in the garbhgruh whereby allowing you some extra time to perform the abhishekh somewhat peacefully. The presence of the panda inside the garbhgruh feels comfortable otherwise it would be difficult if you aren’t used to mobs. However, darshans are very much possible without any help as well. Dakshinas could be anything but whatever you give it will be “bas itna hi?” The experience here could be quite adventurous!
Flowers, gangajal, normal water everything is available in the temple premises for a charge, I suggest buying it yourself, because if the Panda gets it for you it might be additionally charged.
As for the shaktipeeth darshans, the queue is manageable and much quicker. No need for any tickets or passes. But its crowded and with a lot of pushing around by the crowds.
After the darshans, there is something unique and interesting available here. You can tie a Gathbandhan in your name between the kalash of Shiva and Shakti temples for a charge of either Rs 550 or Rs 1100. The difference is only the thickness of the ribbon thread. You have to pay this charge separate of all other previously mentioned charges plus you need to give something to the person who will do this for you while you walk with the thread in your hand between the 2 temples. Its optional!
Apart from these 2 temples there are many other temples in the vicinity for darshans.
Bol Bum is the mantra chanted by many here!

Baijunath Dham is one of the most important & beautiful jyotirlingas out of the overall 12 jyotirlingas.
Situated in Deogarh of Jharkhand state, this jyotirlinga (also known as Baba Dham) is considered to be the most sacred abode of Lord Shiva. Millions of devotees throng to have darshan in Baba Dham every year.
There is a beautiful and important annual event when millions of devotees cover a distance of 108 KM by walk carrying Ganges water from Sultan Ganj to have Baba Darshan and to-do the Jal-Abhisek with the Ganges water which they were carrying from Sultan Ganj.
The temple premises is quite large. It houses in all 21 deities including the main deities of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati. One can see a “Gad Bandhan” between the towers of the Lord shiva and Parvati temples here.
The Shiv Linga here is connected with the mythological a story that while Ravana trying to carry “Athma” Linga from Kailash to Lanka he was tricked by Lord Vishnu to keep the Linga on ground at this place after which Ravana could not lift the Linga from this place. Thus, the Linga remined here. Hence this Linga is considered very powerful.
Maa Parvati temple here is a “Sakthi peeth” where the heart of Matarani Sati’ is believed to have fallen.
The crowd here was really mad. Hence I took the assistance of one pandit “Sri. Ram Khaware (cell no-8409740317)” recommended by our hotel employee, to have a sparsh darshan and to do the Jal-Abhisek to Lord Siva and Maa Parvati. The pandit took special care of us and got us very good, fast darshan including a chance for spending enough time in Garba Griha for doing pujas without any pushing. He had couple of assistants with him. All of them together escorted us like our bodyguards and saved us from pushing etc. After the darshan, our pandit made us to perform the couple aarti to the towers of Lord Shiva & Maa Parvati temples. Further our pandit had even arranged for our photos/videos during our entire darshan & pooja process.
Being a person with implanted hip joint, I am sure that I would not have had a successful darshan without the assistance of our Pandit and his assistants. My sincere and heartfelt thanks to them. I definitely recommend our above pandit for assistance in darshan/ puja.
We had a very good feeling of satisfaction and positive vibes after having close darshans of Lord Shiva & Maa Parvati. We made a round of other small shrines in the premises.
As the crowd is too much, devotees can avail the facility of VIP darshan through tickets costing Rs.500/- per person. Theses tickets are sold in the admin office of the temple. You can also avail these tickets from the pandits.
It is said that the evening Aarati experience here is amazing. However, I could not stay back and witness the same. The Ja-Abhishek and sparsh darshan are permitted from 7.00 AM to 4.00PM every day. The absence of proper sign boards here is a glaring defect which puts the devotees in to difficulties.
I am very happy with the divine experience I had in spite of the hardships.
The temple premises is slippery with water everywhere.
Devotees should take utmost care while walking.
Presence of people all over the premises makes the “pratakshina” little difficult even.
In my opinion, though hardships are inevitable, devotees should visit this Dham at least once in their lifetime, without fail, to experience immense satisfaction and positive vibrations you get finally.
Jai Baba Baijunath ji.

Blissful experience with a catch. One of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva ,extremely popular with the people of Bengal,Bihar,Jharkahand and parts of UP,
It's dangerously crowded During Sawan and Bhado, I went on 8th SEP2023 ,thinking that there won't be much crowd, but I was amazed to see so many devotees,I was told that this is only 10% of people as compared during the sawan month.
Although the authorities have made arrangements to properly control the crowd and maintain que ,but it's the entrance of the Garbha griha which is dangerously mis -managed. Just imagine thousands of people waiting to rush in to the Garbha griha and people inside the Garbha griha are pushing to go out, it's a miracle that no stqmpde has happened..
Once inside the Garbha griha which is fully crowded you hardly get the time to do Abhishek of lord Shiva ,one is pushed and forced to go out of the temple as the crowd outside is forcing to rush in.
If you want to do Abhishek of lord ,do arati archanm etc I would strongly recommend not to go during Sawan ,Bhado season .

It was wonderful to get the blessings of Baba Baidyanath. Evening aarati experience is amazing. We took train from Kolkata and reached Jasidih and was easy to get an auto to hotel which was close to the temple. Food is also good near temple. You are allowed to touch shivling and offer water before 4pm ish. (you shouldn't eat salt before doing that but no one would ask). Stayed there for 1.5 days. Spent next day exploring nearby places such as Basukinath temple, Trikut Parvat, Tapovan, Naulakha mandir. (takes 5-6 hours leisurely )
The temple management is pathetic. Pandas are goons (believe me I have seen pandas at other places too). Police are helpless and mentioned pandas don't fear anyone as they have full support of government/administration. I had visited Kashi Vishwanath and management their was superb. Administration should learn from other places. But it's clear that Jharkhand government doesn't even care about such significant place for Hindu. There are no signs on where the line starts, where to take off footwear. pandas will lie, misdirect you, be rude and everyone is after money.
Tapovan is hidden gem. Pay 100 / 200rs to guide and he would take you to the Hanumanji temple on hills, path to it is very adventurous and it's only for fit people. be careful of monkeys. they can take stuff from your pocket.
Ropeway is closed on Trikut Parvat, you can skip this places if you are short on time.

Dibine experience. Impressive ambience and orderly arrangement. Good arrangements for monitoring and catching miscreants. Panda syndrome seems yo be universal in North India unlike majority of the temples in the South. These panda fellows simply spoil the whole divine experience. Hope Modi Govt would do something about this Panda menace.

Must Visit as it is a combination of Jyotirlinga and Shamtipeeth.
BEWARE OF PANDAS. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU ANYTHING FOR DOING NOTHING. PURE LOOT.
Do your darshan, pujan, abhishek yourself. For easy darshan you can buy VIP card for 250 rs per person from Temple Office.

Generally, it is crowded. But, priests are nice and help as much as they can. Cleanliness is also kept as much as possible. It has been facelifted now. Easily accessible with Deogarh airport now. 2-3 star hotels. Not very roomy but clean, decent, with decent food.

No social distancing. No cleaniness. No one wear masks.
We should wear mask in order for us to be safe.
Have a water bottle with you as the queue will go for almost a km.
No foods inside temple premises but water can be supplied.
Please dont eat too much food before entering as it will show Uneasiness once u reaches half of the queue.
Nobody will listen to ur words. They will jump from one queue to another.

Always crowded temple as it is a jothirlinga. For Shiva devotees the temple is very sacred. Too many agents round up as soon as you enter the temple. In the evenings aarthi is done witnessed by hundreds of devotees. For early dharshan they issue rs.250 vip tickets for early dharshan. But after a short distance this queue is merged with free dharshan queue. At this merging point it is very difficult to enter as the general liners are not allowing us. No police to control the crowd at this point. If you get the help of pundits and pay few hundreds for one family they will help you to perform Ganga water abhishekam to the linga. Inside the sacred sanctum sanatorium it is absolute chaos. For reference of our readers I give two numbers who can help for dharshan .9234352751 pinnku maharaj
and shivam 7654940024.
