We booked the Florence to Siena tour on the recommendation of a friend and are happy we did! Thank you Chris for a fun day. It was smooth sailing and we loved getting to see new views and walk around Siena. The gelato tasted even better after some biking!

One of our Tuscan highlights ... don't miss this tour! Chris picked us up at our Agritourismo high above Florence and whisked us out deep in the beautiful Chianti region to the town of Gaiole. He and Mark expertly guided us through the beautiful hills to Castello di Brolio which was my favorite castle of our one month in Tuscany. The history and views were spectacular and not a bad wine tasting experience either. From there we worked our way uphill to the gorgeous town of Castagnoli where our amazing lunch restaurant awaited. After a few more glasses of wine, Chris and Mark guided us safely back. Chris our Scottish fanatic bike rider spent hours discussing life and the Tuscan region with us. What a great tour and seriously don't miss this wonderful experience in Tuscany. Bravisimo Chris and Mark

Amazing day in Tuscany. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Italy. Chris was a great guide, storyteller, and motivator. We biked through a few towns in Chianti and loved every minute. The winery was a great choice. Would highly recommend including this bike trip in Tuscany. Hope to return soon.

My wife and I stumbled upon I Bike Tuscany through Tripadvisor and reached out via email about a month before our trip. Marco was super quick to respond to our questions and helped guide to us coordinate a private Wine Ride throughout the Chianti region. Scheduling and sending a deposit were a total breeze from the US. On the day of the tour we were met by our guide Chris at an easily walkable location within Florence. We had a beautiful, scenic drive down to Fonterutoli where we set off on the first part of the cycling adventure. The cycling was delightful, great for any skill level, and the roads felt safe throughout. This particular ride was focused on low-key but there were options for all levels. Chris supported us along the way while also acting as photographer and tour guide. The scenery was incredible, the wineries and villages were welcoming and worth exploring, and we had an excellent time overall. We came home with more than enough wine, great photos, and a truly great experience. I can't say enough good things about Chris and the experience. We're already looking forward to a return cycling trip.

WOW. I would (and will) recommend this to everyone I know. My family (ages 25,27,62,64) had a spectacular time on the “Wine Ride”. It was a highlight of our three week long trip.
It’s impossible not to fall in love with the landscapes. There is nothing like biking through the countryside, passing vineyards and olive trees, spotting Medieval hilltop towns in the distance, and taking in the smell of the pines. Add in the anticipation of tasting family-owned, top-quality wine, and it is perfection. We went to three wineries, each carefully chosen and unique in their own way, and we had lunch at the final one. We also stopped in Castellina in Chianti, an adorable little town where we got cappuccini!
Everything about I Bike Tuscany was seamless, from the booking, to the pick up, to the experience itself. Marco was communicative and organized with the booking, and Chris, our guide, took it to the next level. He was engaging, knowledgeable, funny, patient, and well-connected with the wineries! He took care of everything so effortlessly and answered all of our questions. Not to mention he was great company and provided great conversation. I’m so glad we had him bike with us so we could pick his brain about life in Florence and his family. Seriously, we fell in love with him.
Thank you to Marco and Chris.

The wine ride was my husband and my favorite thing we did on our trip to Italy!! Our guide Chris was wonderful to talk with and was extremely knowledgeable. We loved enjoying the the beauty of Tuscany at a slower pace on bikes and Chris was able to give us clear directions. We loved going to a family winery and eating an authentic tuscan lunch.

My wife and I just returned from our anniversary trip to Tuscany. We spent the better part of a day with Chris, our guide and driver (he didn't bike with us, he drove the van, took care of the bikes, stayed ahead of us on the road (out of view), took photos, etc.. Chris was amazing, knowledgeable and exceedingly nice and accommodating. He picked us up at our resort 1+ hours away, and drove us to a hilltop in Castellina in Chianti. We had a short time to explore the charming little town while Chris readied the bikes in a nearby parking lot. He gave safety instructions, sized our helmets, provided water bottles for each bike, and directed us where our ride was to begin. It was an awesome 12 mile downhill ride, through picturesque forests and vineyards. We stopped midway at a winery for a wine/olive oil tasting (we loved the wine and ordered a case to be shipped to us). We ended near San Gimignano, where we spent the rest of our afternoon and evening. Chris would drive ahead of us, and stop and wait for us in picturesque locations, and to make sure we (and the bikes) were ok.
This was one of our best days of the 2 weeks we spent in Florence/Tuscany, and is highly recommended. Working with Marco (the owner) to schedule our special pickup and dropoff needs was seamless.
We would love to do this again with Marco and Chris in other Italian locations.

Our I Bike Tuscany day trip was the highlight of our entire Italy tour. Chris was an incredible guide and excellent host. He had tons of great tips and information along the way, took us to an amazing wine tasting location mid ride, and was accommodating as we explored The town of Siena in the afternoon. We did the Florence to Siena (Soft) trip of about 12 miles. This bike ride will be one of the major memories from Italy for years to come!

Hi there, We are visiting Tuscany next month (in February 2017). Do you offer bike tours at this time of year? If not, could you recommend somebody who does?

We are interested in the Gelato Ride. Going to Florence would take us way out of our way. Can we meet the tour near Castellina and avoid the van ride to and from Florence?

I agree. She dropped us off at our hotel in Siena for fuel costs. She's very accommodating.
How much does a tour cost?

We would like to book a 1 or 2 day bike tour for an intermediate level travelling from Florence to Sienna for two.
Could you please send prices including bike rental.
This would be for some time during the first week of September.
Do we need to book ahead or can we book when we are travelling.
