We did a full day private tour arranged through Nick Solipaca of Ravello, Positano and Amalfi. Simply put, Nick and his people are amazing professionals. Well before we left for Italy, Nick communicated personally via WhatsApp and was detailed, prompt and clear on what we could expect and pricing. Once it Italy, everything went as planned (i.e., we took the train from Rome to Naples and his team was waiting at the station exit holding a sign with our name on it), and it's immediately evident Nick's team is well connected with the locals. Nick arranged an unforgettable tour of the breathtaking Amalfi area via a well equipped and immaculate van. Suggestions like the boat tour of the bay, booking a fantastic restaurant overlooking the cliffs, highlighting particular sights, and the peace of mind to not worry about attempting to navigate the narrow and twisty streets by yourself were worth every euro! Nick also arranged for our party of 6 to be picked up in Rome early in the morning and driven to the airport in an immaculate Mercedes van. If you're looking for a more personalized and less "touristy" experience than a bus tour, this is the way to go!

We did a full day tour with Nick and it was amazing! His knowledge of Rome is amazing and he is willing to take the time to answer questions. He makes the most of your day if you only have a few hours he will make sure you get to see all of the sights. When we go back to Italy we will only use Nick as our guide!

Christiano, we adore you! You provided us with a tour of Rome; patiently allowing us time to tour each stop, and narrated history of the area. Thank you for the recommendations for the places to dine, and winery tour along our future routes. You made for an amazing overview of Rome; highlighting places of interest, and creating some great memories.

My family (wife, 22 year old and 17 year old) just returned from a European vacation, spending time on the Amalfi Coast and then in Rome. Nick provided our transport from Positano to Rome, and arranged a tremendous guided tour in Pompeii along the way (I highly recommend Pompeii - fascinating and stunning). We were with Nick for two full days in Rome, where he arranged for us to see all of the sites we were interested in seeing (and with his own spot on recommendations), with front of the line access and passes. Trust me, we saw the hours long lines for various attractions, and each time we were so thankful to be with Nick. Nick is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide and I feel we learned so much about Roman culture and history. He also had great restaurant recommendations and even helped us avoid lines on a day trip we took without him to Florence. Plus, Nick's driving skills were quite impressive through the traffic in Rome and he has some secret parking spots which further cut down on some of the walking. Nick is friendly, funny, and took great interest in our family. He was always on time and had good humor even when we were running late to meet him. After spending time with Nick I consider him a friend, and I imagine there are many others like me. We have never had a guide this good and I can't recommend Nick enough. He will be my first and only call the next time we travel to Italy.

We had a wonderful time on our tour. Nick was already booked with another group so we had Rossella. She and our driver Renato were outstanding. The highlight of the tour was lunch. Rossella took us to a place she likes which served us many different appetizers to sample along with two pasta dishes each.

We have just returned recently from a week long vacation in Italy. Nick was our guide every day that we were there and took us to multiple locations to include sites in Rome, Castel Gondolfo, the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii as well as areas in Umbria and Tuscany. We enjoyed every site that we visited and every spot that he suggested for lunch. The entire trip was magical and most of this was due to the expertise that Nick was able to offer. He has an amazing personality and sense of humor. He was the key to truly making this a trip of a lifetime and after a week with him we feel we have not only had a great tour guide but have also made a new friend. Thanks for making this such a great experience.

We called Nick again on a spring trip to Italy. Four years ago Nick had picked us up from various ports while we were on a cruise, this spring we were on land but called Nick again. He is fantastic! it is the best way to see Rome, Florence, Chianti Region, Amalfi Region--he even arranged assistance for us with a colleague in Venice.
We bonded over our TWA (that's Trans World Airlines for you younguns) roots.
Highly recommend--don't pay for expense cruise excursions or big-bus tours. Nick will give your white-glove service at price well worth it.

We traveled to Rome in June with our family of five (three boys ages 12,15,17) We cannot say enough GREAT things about Nick and his tours. We booked three different tours with him and they were all amazing experiences. Our first day was the Ancient Rome tour. Unfortunately, a family situation came up for Nick and he was unable to join us for our first day but he made sure we were taken care of with a driver to get us to all the different sites and give us some insight as we were taking in the sights.
We also booked a half day Vatican tour and Nick did an amazing job of getting us through the maze of people and showing us all the highlights without going overboard. He kept it interesting and light to keep the interest of our boys. He helped us get through the lines quicker, which is a huge deal at the Vatican.
The most amazing part of our trip was our tour of the Amalfi Coast, a stop for shopping and lunch in Positano and a guided tour of Pompeii. We loved this part of our tour and the restaurant we stopped for lunch was amazing (specifically chosen by Nick). Nick joined us to lunch and even got our youngest (super picky) to try a few dishes he wouldn't normally eat. He lined up a personal guide for our tour of Pompeii, which was another highlight of the day.
We can't say enough GREAT things about Nick and how he makes you feel like family to make your experiences ones you will never forget. We even booked him for a ride to the airport the day we left so we could "hang out" with Nick one more time! If you have the chance to visit Rome or the surrounding area, look into Nick's tours. You will love every minute! Thank you Nick!!

This is the best decision we made on our trip to Rome! Our travel agent recommended working with Nick of Top Tours in Italy, and he did not disappoint. We spent the day with Nick and went to the Vatican, Collisieum, The Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain. Nick picked us up at our hotel, helped us bypass VERY long lines at the vaticanm and his knowledege of the museums and art work will make your head spin! He took us to a great local place for lunch in between tours - which was amazing to take a break and get some local food off the tourist path. We are already talking about our next trip and tours with Nick. We only had 2 days in Rome so we needed to do it all in a day. My advice would be to do 2 half day trips, so you are not exhausted trying to take it all in --- 8 hours is alot! Split it up over 2 days. But Nick is your guy! I can't say enough great things about hin!!

Theresa and I are in Europe celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. A friend of ours recommended Nick. ARE WE GLAD WE MET NICK!!!
Nick is personable, knowledgeable and the best guide we have ever had. His tours of Rome and his historical knowledge are amazing. Even better is his “off the beaten paths” tours to experience Italy outside of Rome. Amazing, beautiful places, people and the dining experiences were off the charts! If you are near or in Rome, you need to hook up with Nick!!
