Great way to end our visit!
This was great fun - we shared cooking responsibilities, so nothing was too overwhelming. Our host was personable and patient, and the group size was about perfect..

The hospitality was incredible and the food was as amazing. The chef took us step by step through each recipe with very helpful common cooking tips. Kitchen was clean and beautiful, would recommend to anyone for a casual or formal outing.

During the class we have prepared Russian Salad, Croquettas, Black Paella and Cod with peppers.

Something for Everyone
In our small group of about 8 (mostly couples/small family units), there were those who really liked to cook (like me), some who didn’t cook but loved to eat, and some who came along mostly to be with their traveling companions. Lolo did an amazing job of satisfying that wide range of interests for more than four hours! She made everyone feel welcome and invited people to participate as much or as little as they wanted. Most people in the group did a lot of chopping and or mixing, and several got behind the stove when it was offered. A total blast. Lolo had us make ham croquettes and a potato tuna salad the first hour. Wine and beer were flowing with everyone by noon, and by the time we ate the first round of food, the group was acting and talking like we’d know each other for years. Of course then people wanted to talk even more, and I was so impressed by how Lolo found a balance of allowing people to chat/get to know one another and still continue the cooking class. She then moved us into making an incredible squid ink paella and a dish of cod with sautéed fresh vegetables, which we all tremendously enjoyed, along with more beer and wine. Lolo was so gracious with her patience and knowledge. She gave us tips on how to select olive oils, restaurants to try in Madrid, and answered anything we wanted to know about Spain and Madrid. She gave us the recipes at the end, and I know many of will repeat the recipes at home, myself included. What a treat and just a perfect way to spent part of a day in Madrid, whether you like to cook or not!

Don’t hesitate to book, this will be the highlight of your trip to Madrid.
Our evening cooking local dishes was beyond wonderful. I/we had the best evening meeting other foodies, cooking several Spanish dishes and learning from such a talented chef.

Don’t miss this amazing experience!
Absolutely fabulous! Very fun and super informative and the dishes we made were truly delicious. We have taken cooking classes in every country we have visited and this was one of the all-time best! Great kitchen set up and planning and unlimited wine 😁

The highlight of our stay in Madrid!

A terrific evening! Lola is a great host, teacher and chef. Plan to be involved, enjoy the company of other guests and eat some wonderful food. Suitable for any cooking skill level. A highlight of our time in Madrid, highly recommended.

Very informative on the food culture of Madrid and Spain. Everyone had the opportunity to help prepare/cook the food.
We had plenty of time to ask questions and learn techniques for preparing dishes. We used fresh ingredients to prepare our dishes.

Best fun ever to learn to cook some special Spanish dishes!
What a fabulously fun way to learn cooking some Spanish dishes! Angel was super entertaining, but also hugely informative, knowledgeable and super enthusiastic about his country and it’s good. I can’t wait to go home and try his recipes out. I highly recommend this experience!

A Highlight of our Trip.
Excellent experience, incredible food and a knowledgeable, friendly host. We learned a lot about some typical Spanish cuisine.
