Amazing waterfall to explore

This is such a beautiful and friendly place! It's hard to find because signage isn't the best (Vanuatu doesn't have the best signage ;)). We went to both Eden on the River and here (on different days) and it's definitely worth going to both. The waterfalls are so much fun (possibly more so for older kids, our 15 and 17 year old LOVED it). There are jumps galore, rope swings and so many pools to explore. We didn't buy anything but there is a shop there that seemed to sell drinks and snacks. We had the most lovely guide who spent time with the kids showing them special places to explore and where to jump.

Lovely bush walk

Not a taxing walk and beautiful bush and river. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and the entry price included an fruit platter at the end of the walk.

Attraction majeure de l'île

Le plus bel endroit que j’ai visité sur l’ile. Une belle rivière en cascade, dans la forêt luxuriante. On peut se baigner, se promener et surtout admirer la nature. Très bien aménagé, vaut le déplacement.
L’endroit est isolé et tranquille, vous n’aurez pas les foules que l’on trouve ailleurs.

Un vrai coin de paradis

Après le tour de l île , nous avons passé un moment fabuleux , eau cristalline
Jardin en bord de rivière avec pleins d espèces de fleurs et d arbres , juste propice à la relaxation et à la détente . Et pour couronné le tout , après la balade et baignade , un magnifique plateau de fruits frais ( du jardin ) nous attendait ...

Beautiful waterfalls

Loved it! Beautiful tranquil spot and great swimming.
Also great that this is owned and run by locals. Fully recommend!

So much fun and stunning

This is well known in Efate but hides in the shadow of the Mele Cascades. Without sounding critical, the Mele Cascades are owned by the Chinese so no money stays in Vanuatu and there is no benefit to the local population. Rentapao is run by Ni-van and employees them.

It is only a short 15 - 20 minutes ride from Villa and costs about 4000 vatu ($50aud) for a family all day. There are toilets and change rooms at the entrance and along the path up the the Falls. It is a beautiful lansscaped rainforest walk of about 5 to 6 minutes that takes you past the river and has information panels, as well as a small display of snakes and coconut crabs.

Once at the top the real fun begins with rope swing platforms, inner tubes and a high jumping platform that is a bit wild (never past muster in Australia). The water is clear with fish and has local guides who also jump and show off their crazy skills. It was so much fun we went back again the next day. Best part is it's not crowded!

Just remember, when in Vanuatu support locals and their businesses. They are doing it really tough and so much money is going offshore. It is paradise, mostly because they are the happiest people on earth.

Rentapao River & Blue Lagoon - Iririki Splash Tour

We booked this tour through our resort - Iririki Island Tour Resort & Spa to see the Blue Lagoon. We were keen to see if it really was as blue as it had been advertised. It was absolutely stunning, and the water a gorgeous blue and warm to swim in. We also visited Rentapao River which was without a doubt spectacular and in my opinion the stand out of the tour. The river and waterfall were beautiful, and the water so crystal clear. After we finished our swim the owner of the property met us with a platter of beautiful fresh fruit. Tim, our guide, was an absolute delight. He certainly raised the bar for any future tour guides we encountered. This tour is an absolute must see...you won't be disappointed!

Welcoming cool waters and loads of fun!

On a steamy hot day we arrived to a welcoming group of villagers who organised a guide to escort us across to the swimming hole. The crystal clear water was a welcome break to the hot day. There were tyres at no cost to use to float around. Light refreshments are available for purchase at a reasonable price from the villagers. You can take your onw food and refreshments in too.

Beautiful Natural Spot for a Dip

Such a beautiful spot for a dip. Tropical setting with numerous cascades down the river. About 5 minutes from entrance to main waterfall. Staff were great and very friendly. Happy to answer any questions. Loved having a swim up under the waterfall (some jumped off) and wife had inner tube to relax without swimming (her favourite spot). 1500vt / person entry and can stay as long as you want. Place is well kept and clean yet not loosing natural setting. Offered fruits and coconut ( even deep fried coconut - like pop corn) on leaving the site. Worth a stop for sure.
