Servizi igienici al primo piano ora di genere - neutri con orinatoi e cabine, si passa oltre la fila di orinatoi per raggiungere le cabine. Non credo che donne e bambini debbano incontrare uomini durante la minzione pubblica. Considerare, differenza culturale, politica e religiosa. Considera anche che sei un luogo autorizzato con eventi a tarda notte, e in effetti il comportamento è soggetto a modifiche sotto il consumo di alcol. Sospetto che la maggior parte dei proprietari di Willy non vorrebbe usare un orinatoio quando ci sono donne e bambini.

Disappointed, won't be back to CCA

Toilets on first floor now gender-neutral with urinals and cubicles, one walks past the row of urinals to get to the cubicles. I don't believe women and children should have to walk in on men in public mid-urination. Consider, cultural, political and religious difference. Consider also that you are are a licensed venue with late-night events, and indeed behaviour is subject to change under alcohol consumption. The majority of willy-owners wouldn't want to use a urinal when women and children are around I suspect.

Nice visit today. Had the pleasure of attending a third year recital by Niamh Doohan (fiddle) from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and an exhibition by Renee Helena Brown entitled A Strange Eight.

C'est un espace tres convivial qui propose d'aborder l'art sous forme d'expositions, d'echanges, de conferences, d'entretiens, d'un accès a une large documentations, de pratiques artistiques et sportives (salle de gym-toga), et d'une salle de cinema (le festival du film de Glasgow y projette des films). Ce lieu dispose aussi d'un cafe-restaurant pour se retrouver.

A customer no more
set 2019
I see they've changed the toilets to gender neutral. ie. mixed sex and there are no longer any toilets that females who want to use female-only toilets can use. CCA has lost my custom.

Gender neutral toilets

I have always loved this venue but on visiting recently noticed that they had put signs up on the toilets. The former ladies are now gender neutral toilets with cubicles’ next door to the former gents, now 'gender neutral toilets with urinals'. I am all for shared facilities and have this at my work (my work building was designed with separate toilet rooms, like lots of disabled toilets, all user neutral and I think that’s great). Sticking up a new sign does not work for me when the facilities weren’t designed for mixed use like this. I am not a fan.

Cool architectural fusion - vibrant Arts Venue

The facade reflects much of the original Grecian Chambers created by our very own Alexander 'Greek' Thomson. Step inside now and view the brilliant Page Park re- invention. A fusion of the classic 'Greek' with the contemporary cool. Still very much under the 'tourist radar' but totally deserves more attention.
The centre is now re-open and accessible to all. Pick up an events brochure or check the website. This February and March , it's again one of the major host venues for the Glasgow Film Festival. Otherwise, a diverse programme of events throughout the year.
If you're a tourist then no better spot to have a coffee or lunch in such unique surroundings. It's only minutes away from the Fusiliers Museum ( Mackintosh building) and 15 minutes walk from the Tenement House and the Mitchell Library.
If you're a local and don't know it or didn't realise it was open again, then check it out.
Welcoming staff at reception desk and great coffee.

Mull Historical Society

Was here a couple of nights ago to Mull Historical Society as part of Celtic Connections 2019.

The gig was excellent.

However, I was also very impressed by the venue. All the staff were very friendly, it has a wonderful decor and great acoustics for live music whilst just being the right size to get a good crowd in.

I hope more of my favourite artists play here!

one day in Glasgow

We did a rouad trip in Scotland, we were spending just one day in Glasgow. Someone sujested us to go to eat at the CCA. Well, is really a great place to go to eat and to visit to.

Appauling rude service!

Visited here today with 4 friends and our babies. Be aware there is a minimum £5 spend on cards and all cash machines nearby charge £2. Service was dreadful. Waited ages for coffees and on paying was met by a small foreign speaking girl behind bar who told me about the minimum spend and if I didnt like it tough! Embarrassed and disgusted I went back to the table and she came storming over shouting in my face saying she would pay for it if I had a problem. I think she didnt like babies to be honest. Do not go unless you are prepared to be spoke to like an idiot by this little rude woman! Wont be back!
