Not just a market great family day out. Huge variety of stalls just to mention a few, massive modern TVs and electronics, largest selection of second hand power tools I have ever seen, Laptops and desktops, fruit and veg at ridiculous prices, health food supplies, really good quality second hand clothes, house clearances, jewelry, raw honey, house clearances, gardening and bicycles. You have to be willing to negotiate, it's not uncommon to get things for half the stated price. Just make up your mind what you want to pay, before you ask.

Reading about the Vauxhall market in the Londoner’s market book, a picture of a ‘diamond in the rough’ type market was described due to their great steals on clothing and other items. A sign at the entrance stated that some items are fake and should be bought with caution. Everything was sold for cheap with shirts being under five pounds. The makeup being sold can also be found in CVS or Target, but the packaging was messed up then taped back together. Recently, there have been many news reports about people getting rashes and burns due to venders making their own makeup mix with harsh chemicals, and I suspect this could be a similar case. The girls in the group that I went with noticed the men that would stare at us up and down as we walked by, which made us feel uncomfortable. I would not suggest going to this market if the group is mainly female.

This market is excellent and should be visited by everyone - i have lived in london all my life and this place truly reflects the diversity of the london populace as it is now...
Brilliant selection of east european food stalls, west indian food stalls, trad uk food and food from everywhere, as well as people from everywhere, and an earthy vibe that is sadly lacking in the boring sanitised homogonised shopping zones that smother our once vibrant city...
Excellent place...

Too many thieves. Security is only for buyers... traders you are pretty much on your own. That short black security dude at the boot sale side is incredibly rude... in fact most of them are so rude to traders.

You won't find anything approaching a Tourist market here. No old, distressed chairs on offer for £200 and over priced antiques. You will however find:
-cheap fruit
-drills
-Polish sausages
-power tools
picture frames
-more power tools
-Reggae CDs and so on...

Despite what other revues have said, quaint it aint- sprawling it is but its vibrant, friendly and some of it hasn't fallen off the back of a lorry- honest guv! Well worth a visit to see how the other half in London live and pick up the odd bargain with some decent street food thrown in. Ladies toilets appear to be a bit sparse or non-existant.

It's a 10 min walk from Vauxhall station just off Wandsworth Road. American Express definitely no use here!

A 5-10 minute walk from Vauxhall Station, this freely accessible street market (held within the Covent Garden Fruit & Vegetable Market which doesn’t operate on Sunday mornings) attracts a large number of people on a dry day. Both sellers and buyers represent a myriad of nationalities, clearly reflecting London’s wide diversity. Since it can be crowded with a huge mix of people, one has to maintain a wary eye on personal possessions as do the stall holders who keep an eagle eye on their goods and an even keener lookout for potential customers. Many personalities abound, some welcome whilst others less so. A vast cross section of goods are for sale - some new, others old - some at bargain prices, others offered by those keen to raise their profit margins! Varied food stalls sell a wide selection of food, meals that are eaten on site and items to be taken away. An interesting venue if one wishes to spend a couple of carefree hours with little serious intention of buying too much, if anything at all.

Regularly head to this market on Sunday for vegetables and second hand goodies. It’s super cheap! Be wary of some unfriendly characters but usually it is really good fun! Got some serious bargains. The veg men on the left as your enter are the best :) and the plant stall (with honey) have a great variety of indoor/outdoor, veg and potting plants. Would recommend!

We went here on Sunday and we waited for over an hour in our car in a Que.

we asked one of the staff why we were waiting ? it looked like he could not speak
English ( funny how he could speak English when people paid him to skip the Que
and started selling)

we have sold here before you only get a tiny space, and this car boot is badly run.

we will not come here again. we think they knew there was no spaces yet still made us wait for over an hour !

AVOID !
