As a Bexhill resident, I'd heard that Soar Tour had opened and was curious to try it, to see if I should recommend it to friends when they come to stay. I was pleasantly surprised that our quiet and rather sedate seafront now has such a wonderful experience on offer to visitors. I felt very Covid safe as a pensioner (had a pre-booked online ticket but was politely asked to wait a few minutes so there were no other customers to make it safer for me) and great care was taken to make sure I was comfortable once inside. Everything was very clearly explained. Then the 15 or so minutes of 'flight' over the East Sussex coastline and landmarks 'blew me away' - in fact I was moved to tears as to how beautiful our area can look from a bird's eye view. I'll definitely go again with frinds and family (they can take 4 people at a time on this truly exhilerating , wonderful experience).

Thank you so much for visiting and giving us a brilliant review Peter S! It's really great to be giving the Bexhill something new and unique to do! We have been finding that some riders get quite emotional as the flight is quite intense, particularly with incredible visuals and the really powerful soundtrack - so you're not on your own! Wow! I wasn't too sure what to expect from this brand new experience on the Bexhill seafront near the De La Warr Pavilion. Never having been on a Virtual Reality ride before (and also suffering from a fear of heights!) I was a bit daunted.
The staff were very friendly and helped us into the simulator seats and ensured the headsets were comfortable and what followed was a breathtaking and dramatic HD 'flight' over the Sussex coastline. The accompanying music and sound effects added to the experience enormously.
The website says that the flight lasts under seven minutes, but it felt a lot longer and when we 'landed safely' back in Bexhill, I immediately wanted to do it again!
Tickets were about nine pounds, (which might sound a little bit steep given the duration) but it was so dramatic and exciting that we were talking about it to people all day.
On the way out there's a photo opportunity and we left with our 'Pilot's License' souvenirs of a really unique and memorable visit. Thoroughly recommended and can't wait to return.

Thank you for such an amazing 5* review JoelGriggs, it’s lovely to hear SOAR TOUR being described as magical! We’ve tried really hard create a fully immersive experience which gives riders a few minutes to escape the real world and see it from above in a whole new way! My wife and I took our 2 daughters to try this new experience whilst on holiday in hastings and we loved it. First of all we were made to feel very welcome even though we were 10 minutes late for our booked slot. The gentleman that served us at the attraction was very attentive and made us feel very relaxed especially my youngest daughter of 7 years who is very shy! The whole experience from start to finish was very professional and the weather being so awful on the day made the soar tour even more worth while, allowing us to escape the bad weather for a short while and we got to see the beautiful sights of the coast. The greatest thing we took away with us from the experience was the fact that we managed to find out about new places to visit and discover whilst on our holidays, places we never new existed until the tour. I was really excited about trying this and we drive from Eastbourne to Hastings to visit Owens entertainment.we booked 2 things. It was £9 a person for the 6 minute experience.
The staff member was polite and helpful.
You sit in a 4 row seat simulator type thing..then put on a vr headset and headphones..which is time consuming and cumbersome.
We have vr headset at home, but this felt larger and it would move, so you were afraid to move your head to look whilst film was playing
The experience was flying over East Sussex and the resolution was terrible. Film was not very exciting with the odd feel of a mop hitting your feet and a whoosh of air, that are ill timed..
The other half asked how I found it when we got out, my response, lame..
It's over priced for 6 minutes of something not worth doing..
However I love the concept of the Owens entertainment building. Great for families..there a few things they need to work out like carers and perhaps offering activities for a fixed price to make more affordable for families . But the soar toar was more like a damp squib.

Thank you very much for your review. As the owner of SOAR TOUR and also the person who served you, I’m very surprised and upset to read your review, as your group strongly seemed to have enjoyed the experience when I asked at the end and when we chatted about the different landmarks which you flew over. There was no clue at all that you were unhappy from this conversation. The first I have heard that you didn’t enjoy the ride, is publicly, through reading your TripAdvisor review - which seems very unfair.
Indeed, the description you have written of SOAR TOUR doesn’t at all match the incredibly positive feedback and experiences of the ride which we have received from hundreds of previous customers - as you can see from our overwhelmingly glowing 5 Star reviews.
I’m confused as to how your experience could be so incredibly different from that of our other customers.
It’s important to mention here that we explained to you when you bought your tickets (and again when you checked-in) that carers are more than welcome to enter SOAR TOUR for free, as carers. Free carers admissions are designed so that carers can assist members of their group who have specific additional needs to board and disembark the ride, as well as remaining close-by in the ride room watching them throughout, in case the person they are caring for needs their help during the ride.
However, we do ask visitors to buy a full ticket for themselves too, if they also choose to experience the ride, as a passenger, rather than visiting solely in their capacity as carer.
At the ticket counter downstairs, I’m told that you said that you didn’t want to buy a ticket for yourself when this was explained and would enter as a carer. However upon arriving at our boarding gate you said that you wished to experience the full ride for yourself and again declined a free carers admission, saying that you would like a full ticket for free, which unfortunately we were unable to offer.
After giving you the choice of which option worked best for you, I gave additional time for you to purchase a full ticket and then adjusted your group’s booked ticket times so that you would all be able to ride together on an exclusive/private flight to yourselves immediately - rather than being split up and riding with other waiting customers across your two timed bookings. Another group of customers also kindly agreed to pass up their booked time and wait in line 10-15 minutes longer (which was actually the full length of your experience) in order to help me ensure that the three of you could all now ride together. I am sorry if you were unhappy at needing to pay for a full ticket and very much hope that this didn’t colour your negative review today.
I believe that I might have seen you visiting the centre again the following day, so please do ask for myself, Alex, if you visit again in future as I’ll be very happy to do anything I reasonably can to resolve any issues and ensure you have a fun time with us.

Heard about Owens amusements on social media and popped in to explore today. The gentlemen on the 3rd floor was very attentive explaining the two attractions on that floor. The soar tour sounded really good, so we decided to give it a go. My mum (60’s), myself (40’s) and daughter 12 all equally loved it. Would highly recommend whether you know the area or not, we do so it was great to spot things you know, but would equally be a great introduction to the area. Great attraction, well worth a visit.

We almost walked past this new attraction at Bexhill, but the proprietor asked us if we wanted to know more and after a brief explanation we decided to have a go!
From the outside I was expecting to stand in a dark room with a VR headset? Wrong! This is a VR flight experience but you sit in a chair and experience the flight as if riding on a magic carpet or microlight aircraft. The only thing missing is the wind blowing through your hair - but I don’t have hair so nothing lost for me….. So is it worth a go?? Absolutely 👍 This type of attraction will grow wings so book a flight before word spreads the queues start

Amazing!! We visited a couple of weeks ago & all involved (aged 9 to 74!) had a wonderful time. Alex & Liam were so enthusiastic & friendly & chatting with them was a real pleasure. Such a magical way to see the Sussex coastline. Please also visit their museum of oddities next door, for some of the most interesting & crazy things we've ever seen (& for Liam's ever changing hats!!) Just a great experience all round. Worth all 5 stars! We will certainly be visiting again!❤️

A truly wonderful experience and although a VR novice, came away buzzing. Awesome and immersive trip over spectacular scenery with audio backdrop proving further drama and emotion. Please do take a ride. Thanks Alex for your time.

A fantastic experience. The flight may take less than 10 minutes, but it is well worth the money. 5 of us went ranging in age from 6 to 74. Everyone loved it. I hope this stays as a permanent fixture. Great customer service too. Highly recommended.

Was a great experience. Made to feel welcome by the owner. The children aged 13 and 9 really enjoyed it too! Highly recommend to family and friends. I don't want to say too much as people need to experience it for themselves.
