The area includes three main themes: Qing Dynasty town, Ming Dynasty town, and a 20th century town. There is a bit of actual historical ruins left but for the most part it was recreated in the last few decades for purposes of filming.
You don't need to have watched the movies / tv shows to appreciate the place. We didn't watch any of the films before but still had fun taking photos with the historical backdrop and props. You can rent clothes to take photos in. They also offer professionals to follow you around and film, with extra cost of course.
The Ming Dynasty area feels a bit more authentic and is more desolate. It recreates scenes from old towns. The Qing Dynasty area is a bit more commercial, with small stalls on the main road that sells various snacks, crafts, etc.
Overall it was fun and worth the visit.

I like this trip very much. Zhenbeipu Film and Television City is one of the famous attractions in Yinchuan. Zhenbeipu Film and Television City located at the
northwest of Yinchuan, it's one of the three biggest film studios in China and the most famous film studio in western China.It is also a place for tourism, entertainment, leisure,dining and shopping.Visiting the "street of the old Yinchuan", i will feel the changes of Yinchuan in the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s to
1980s. From the aspects of economy, culture, education and transportation.It shows the Ming Dynasty, the Qing Dynasty . Many of these famous film and television works were filmed there. If you want to visit, I suggest you go from May to October. Ticket prices are also very cheap that are 80 yuan per person, and the student voucher is half prize.I think this is a very worthwhile place to visit. It can not only increase knowledge but also entertain your mood. Finally, I hope my opinion can help you. I highly recommend you to visit and attach a map to you. Have a good time.

China western film studio is stituded in the West of China .It is one of my favorite scenic spots.This is not only a tourist resort, but also the shooting place of many famous movies such as Dahua Journey to the West which famous in the world.The most important thing is that the food here is very rich where You deserve to visit.It is characterized by simple, wild and folk style. In Zhenbeibao West Cinema, scenes and props of some films have been preserved and restored for tourists to watch.

In the National Day holidays ，I went to Zhenbei Fort West Movie and Television City with my famliy.Tickets are cheap and the sky is blue。But a little desolate.
There are many characteristics of the desert.The original strange, majestic, desolate and tragic scene of the castle is maintained and utilized.And the film "Journey to the West" was also filmed here.It is very suitable for photography lovers and artists.But the wind and sand will be a bit big in autumn and winter.
Overall, the attraction is really artistic.Worth a look！

Nice place for photo taking . Very chinese so dun expect sets for western movies . While the place looks ancient , they are of course man-made . Great I’d you have some costumes. The chariot and horse lineup are great for photo..

After breakfast , our tour bus first destination was Zhenbeipu West Studio, populary known as “The Hollywood in the East”. This is the China Western Film Studios!!! , one of the most famous film studio in western China.
Its a lot to walk but we were advised by our Tour Leader to move in an anti-clockwise direction as Zhenbeipu Studio was once two ancient castle relics built during the Ming & Qing Dynasties to defend against the invasions of northern tribes. In between the two ancient castle relics , is Yinchuan Old Street.
There are various stores with local souvenirs, preserved car workshop, toilet facilities, old buildings with exquisite arts of carving from brick & stones and exhibition halls.
Walking , browsing through the great many Chinese traditional materials culture , one could learn the life style and history of Yinchuan.
From camel riding, dining, sightseeing to shopping, this place on the whole is not only a film studio which produced many outstanding movies & television series but an entertaining tourist site & photography haven too!!!!

中国版の江戸村みたいな場所です。過去にこの場所でいろいろな中国映画が撮影されたようで、中国映画が好きな人は楽しめると思います。私は中国映画をそんなに見たことがないので、そこまで楽しむことはできませんでした。でも、昔の銀川の街を模した一角があり、昔の街並みを楽しむことができました。

荒れ果てた明代と清代の古城を個人が買い取って映画セットに仕立てたテーマパーク。
文化財を改造してしまうことへの是非はありますが「赤いコーリャン」等の名作映画のロケ地にもなった場所で、中国映画好きには楽しめます。
また「大躍進」期に版築の城壁を垂直に掘り下げて「土法高炉」に仕立てた跡が随所にあったり、民国時代を復元した通りがあったり、近代史好きにも楽しめます。
なお、風が吹くと砂嵐なので服装に注意。

5月份和远方的朋友一起去的。那天风沙很大，很有拍电影的画面感啊，防风沙的护具要带上。7、8月是最好的时节。进门组团就有解说员一路相伴，第一次来的人还是跟着解说员一路不走回头路且能听到好故事。自己走走停停实在看不出赏不来黄土坡坡的美。整体走一圈也要2个多小时，里面没有乘凉的大树。偶得幸运，能遇到拍戏的明星或者脸熟的演员。高晓松老师今年年初还在“龙门客栈”讲述了一期楼兰古国。
