Please all be very careful by using Cypress Mountain Canada as they are running a credit card scam... I got debited 82 $ and never ever went to West Vancouver...

Just did the coaster ride @ Cypress ( July 22, 2023) so you book in advance drive up and you basically ride a glorified go cart on a track, down the mountain about 1.7 km your elevated about 4ft, there are straight aways , turns and bumps along the way, you vertically drop about 1,000 ft - my eare popped 2x.
All I can say is I am almost 60 and it was just a lot of fun, felt like a kid again , oh and some of the views form the cart, and along the drive up and down are breath taking , al in all I would say your up a fair height.

Came here to try the eagle coaster. I have been on alpine coasters around the world and this one was good but I have been on better. We went on a weekday mid morning and had hardly any wait to get on. The staff at the botto, and top of the mountain were nice.
You have to book tickets in advance and you’ll get a time slot for entry ( you can go on the chairlift to the top 15 mins before your time ). The coaster isn’t very fast but it is still fun for all the family. You can control your speed if you are more nervous.
The actual cypress mountain is nice with good views but the facilities including restrooms and restaurant are very mediocre. The restaurant in particular was awful so I would avoid it and bring your own food.

The views up the Cypress Mountain highway are absolutely amazing! We went when the rain has just finished though, so the views are a bit foggy. But at the overlooks, there were bald eagles flying overhead, and that was a sight to behold!

Location and road access are great. Best local (Vancouver) skiing resort for downhill skiing.
However too few trails open this season, too crowded and lineups of 30-45 mins starting at 10am means weekends are useless. Not worth a season card anymore.

Used to be my fav spot for skiing , not anymore . Lack of grooming , uneven skiing surface (very dangeroues at points) and lack of proper ilumination at night makes it scary . I m gonna spend my money somewhere else . You guys have competition in Vancouver and people will leave . Soon enough tourits will find out as well . For you own good hope somebody will wake up and do something . Anyway , for now bye bye Cypress .

The mountain is good and terrain but its always too warm. Only skychair snow is usually good. bottom half of runs are always kinda wet/icy after the coldest month and some runs never even open ever in a season cause the snow cant build up (black on black, black fly, meteor)

I booked tickets for the Eagle Coaster thinking we could get the bus up and down from the city. The bus only runs on weekends. Something that I didn’t not find easy to establish. There are no buses heading that way so ended up Uber up and taxi down. 80$ in taxis. And your tickets are non refundable.
Yes, the coaster is fun for the kids. Very expensive day out though

una ruta de acceso espectacular, debes agendar tu visita antes por restricciones de oforos, rental de sky y snow completísimas y muy bien atendidas por los staff, las canchas son de nivel medio muy entretenidas variadas, debes considerar que te puede llover y se sigue esquiando( ropa adecuada), en general para pasarla bien lo recomiendo.

Terrible customer service. I understand that it’s your busiest season but please answer your emails if that’s the “best”way to contact someone. When you call and ask to speak to a supervisor or a manager you are given the run around. “Im not at liberty to give out a supervisor or managers email address because it’s personal information.”We are not asking for their home addresses we are asking for their work email! Give me a break. Why would your company decide the best customer service practice is to not let customers contact a supervisor?

There are no hotels really close
Best would be the Holiday Inn North Vancouver as you would be on the right side of Lionsgate Bridge
They are building Cypress Village right now and it should have a hotel. However that wont be finish3d for several years.

what time does the observation point open in the morning?
There is nothing to open. You simply drive in and park, then get out and look.

Our family of 6 are planning to visit this coming spring break (snow tubing etc.) with my 4 kids( 16, 14, and 5 year old twins) and suggestions to have fun but " not breaking the bank" activities at this location. Any recommendations for other activities are welcome.

They have snowshoe trails(if you have own snowshoes) classified as back Country, for free but there's a very easy loop and view trail with a climb. You just need free backcountry permit you pick up yourself from lower lodge. STAY IN TRAILS. Do not explore outside of boundaries or off trails. This is wild BC. You can be completely lost or stranded on cliffs in a matter of minutes if you go out of bounds. DO NOT GO OUT OF BOUNDS. For the trails head to left of new lodge past entrance where skiers head up chairs. The trails are just near bottom of chair. Check maps. Also back Country, though it's right there, is NOT monitored by Cypress mountain. But it's gorgeous and easy and free. I saw people walking in boots and gators. Know your conditions. Dress for the weather and be prepared for adverse weather.
