The blue caste to the rocks on the shoreline are apparent only with sunny weather, but, anytime, the journey, by bicycle, is highly recommended. Mahone bay route is amazing, scenery and the postcard fishing villages, barns, and the “three churches”. Traffic can be a challenge, but drivers are considerate and helpful, rather than sometimes predatory in the USA.

Took a hike in this area, in somewhat of a remote system of paths. Family of nine including small children. I'd not recommend the hike for kids or older adults. Beautiful views.

This is a beautiful part of Nova Scotia - tranquil and peaceful. If you're in the Lunenburg area, it is worth the short drive just for the scenery of this off-the-beaten-path fishing village.

To get a chance to visit a real, working fishing village with all of it's charm and quaintness of should not be missed.

We went to find my wife's ancestors in Blue Rocks and everyone was named Txxxxxr.
Asked directions from a woman on the street, her name was Txxxxxr and she lived on Txxxxxr Lane. All the mailboxes had the name Txxxxxr. It got a little creepy so we went to find the cemetery. When we went in my wife spotted a stone with the name Txxxxxr on it. We walked to it and noticed most of the stones in the cemetery had the name Txxxxxr. We went back to Lunenburg to our hotel and we stayed at her grandmother's
home converted into a hotel. We stayed in the kitchen converted into a room with a bath. Would live there if we could. Canadians are so nice!

Yet another unique and lovely Nova Scotia spot. Rock formations of the peninsula and in the water create a cozy little harbor and beautiful views. Hippie vibe, with many tiny shacks built right on on the rocky slope of the harbor. Very peaceful spot. Watched a great blue heron fishing the rising tide undisturbed for at least half an hour.

The little village was very scenic, people very friendly and willing to explain the history of the area. Will be back again for sure.

Nothing there unless you want to ride the kayak. All walks are blocked and roped off. Disappointing to say the least.

Peu de boutiques ou d'attractions. On y va pour la beauté du paysage. Onpeut y voir de belles maisons avec les murs recouverts de bardeaux de cèdre.

This little village just outside Lunenburg is really beautiful. Park and walk along the waterfront to see rustic old fishing cabins and modern new homes. Absolutely gorgeous, even on an overcast day.

Are there any Kayak tours available Saturday May 4th 2019. My partner and I are quite experienced but nowhere for kayaking seems to be open that early in the season. Passing through in am RV from the UK.
