You can take your own food, but the shop only sells swim wear, a few souvenirs, ice creams and a few cold beverages from a fridge. It’s right next to all the main row of shops and restaurants though, so it’s very easy to get something before or after if you want to.

Once upon a time it was just hot sea water, but these day the sea ain’t what it used to be, so they now have to treat it with chemicals so it’s “clean”.

Hi Mary You would need to bus from Rotorua to Tauranga and then change to the local Bay Bus service from Tauranga to the Mount Hot Pools. The bus stops directly outside the complex

Hi they open 6am-10pm Monday -Saturday Sunday 8am-10pm. It's costs $11 for adults 2-4yrs $5.80 hope this helps you. Enjoy it's a fab place.

Hi Shar The water is natural ocean water with chlorine. It is geothermally heated but the two waters don't mix and the bore water does not enter the pool at all Regards Mount Hot Pools Team

A trip up the Mt takes about 45mins to 1 hour . Ring the Hot Pools and book the private pool for the time and date you require. They have just finished renovating them and they look fantastic .
