Perfect…if you like parties, smoking and crowds. However, if you’re looking for nature and silence, you will be disappointed in this place. It’s busy, loud with tons of restaurants, cafés and shops and the entire path is covered in rubbish.

1. Delhi to Bharishani via Kasol- Take transport from Delhi to Bhuntar, from Bhuntar there are two options either take public buses which are at regular intervals and cheap or take a Pvt taxi. If u have a day spare then take rest in Kasol and on next day proceed to trek.
2. Kheerganga Trek- It's a 12km trek and for people going on their first trek, it could be their lifetime adventure. As we were starting our journey we met our guide, Mr. Dev (8894534058) and soon I realised that I have made the right decision as the Kheerganga trek needs skills, temperament and time management and without him my group could not have completed the trek. Mr. Dev supported us like a group member, taught us the basics, and also helped us to find the best camp in our budget.
I strongly recommend to hire him and make this trek a lifetime adventure.

Previous day stay at Kasol or Choj or Manikaran
Leave early morning to reach village Barshaini by bus or private vehicle.
There are three routes to reach Kheerganga first is via Nakthan Village 13 km to kheerganga –take left turn from bridge shortest route and usually taken by trekkers. Second is via Kalga Village -17kms to kheerganga --take right turn from bridge it goes through dense forest ,not familiar route by trekkers.Third route is via Tosh Village
We did the Kheerganga trek by our self without any guide we were helped by Mr Bhushan—provides basic tents under name of Kheerganga hike--8219017235 --who suggested us route no 2 ie Kalga Village which passes through deep forest, but safe for us to travel as he knew we are just two people travelling ,this route is not much take by many trekkers. We see few signboards on the trees. When you reach the base village Barshaini you need to register yourself and they charge you 100 rs / head for the trek for usual route (Via Nakthan Village ) but when you go through forest route(Via Kalga Village ) they don’t charge you, you need to tell them that you are going to Kalga village and not Kheerganga .If you go on weekdays there won’t be any rush but yes on Saturday and Sunday you may get rush .Kalga village route has many waterfalls ,is scenic and adventurous .it took around 5 hrs nonstop to reach the top of Kheerganga campsite so always start the trek as early as possible so one reaches before it’s get dark enjoy the scenery, get fresh in natural waterfall , there are small shops of refreshments but still carry something to eat and drink esp dry fruit ,protein or energy bars , we didn't come across any animals in the jungle except horses and dogs who accompany you during the trek.
Once you reach the campsite you will be served with evening snacks, dinner ,bon fire and next day morning snacks.
NEXT DAY
Trek back to Barshaini 3-4 hrs trekking via Nakthan Village route on the way visit waterfall and Rudra nag Temple.

The path is challenging but the nature is more rewarding.
We started walking from Barshaini and took the left from Pulga Dam..this road was not through jungle but rocky..with many steeps and turns...
But whenever you feel that ..Ok I can't go any further, you are energized with giggling Parvati river, the mountains and the fall colours of the trees

We visited Parvati valley in may 2019 with family and friends and young children, some of which are 5 yrs old!
We decided to go on kheer Ganga trek but it was not possible for us to go till end so decided to have half trek of 6km upto rudranag temple and waterfall.
We took guide cum porter, a very helpful lady from Naktan village.
Trek route was not much steep but very narrow and at very edge of valley.
Somewhat dangerous trek!!
But we somehow manage to go till waterfall! There was this beautiful waterfall and a cafe. You have to keep your shoes off the fall bcoz there is supposed to be a shiva temple under the fall.
Going down the trek was very easy.
Overall a must must do activity while in Parvati valley

Hi I will be travelling to kheerganga espcially for snowfall and the snow view.
Can anyone guide me! We are 3 people should I prebook our tour with agency or it will be fine if we will go there by own.
What about tents and food I've seen people getting tents and food in winter snow also. Is it possible??
and what will be the cost including everything and excluding travelling till start trekking point.
