Nous avons pris nos billets à 14h15 pour une exposition sensorielle à 15h00.
A 15h00 nous attendions toujours. Nous nous sommes manifesté auprès de l’hôtesse qui nous a dit que cela commençais à 15h15.
Finalement quand l’hôtesse est venue nous chercher, l’expérience avait commencé il y a 15mn et nous n’avons pas eu d’explication.
L’hôtesse a reconnu une erreur mais ne voulais pas faire de geste commercial. Après avoir réclamer longuement, nous avons fini par obtenir un rabais.
Finalement avoir exprimé notre mécontentement a été entendu et l’erreur reconnu.
Pour info l’expérience dure bien 60mn.

I've visited Centre Phi twice; once for a VR exhibit several years ago and just recently for the Yayoi Kusama exhibit; really enjoyed the Infinity Room!
Building properties are very nice and intimate for holding exhibits.
Staff is generally friendly and perfectly bilingual
Entry is pricey but they frequently do offer free tickets for some exhibits (Yayoi Kusama being one such example)
Clear written descriptions of all pieces of artwork
Ticket ordering process was quite straightforward on their website; thankfully I didn't have to wait too long in the "virtual queue" :)
Only two comments (with regards to the Yayoi Kusama exhibit)
- Staff should have informed us about the audio guide option at the start of of the visit; we only found out about this towards the end
- More time should have been given in the infinity rooms
I would come back depending on what's being shown

The low rating is the result of unsatisfactory customer service at the Center and the provision of misleading information by employees. The Center does not respect MTL passport cards/tickets and makes it impossible to use them. Instead of being honest right away and informing on your website or through an employee that "Hi, you can't actually use our service if you have an MTL passport. Sorry, we suggest you buy our ticket through our system, enjoy the great exhibition, and use your passport for other attractions, where it will work ", the Center has chosen the path of lies and discrimination. A better category of visitors is the one that just doesn't use the passport because it is useless at that point. Our experience is that during two days while calling and being in person, we received information from the ticket office that there is no online booking, you have to call in the morning of the planned visit and they will reserve a place for you. We did just that, to find out 10 minutes before entering the exhibition that it was not true. The person from the morning shift did not make any reservations and the very nice Florence from the afternoon shift said that "in fact, you can only call one hour before entering and find out if there are any free spots, because for the MTL passport clients they have no guaranteed places. Calling in the morning does not give anything - despite that her colleagues said something else. " All in all, instead of having a nice day at the exhibition - we lost our time calling and commuting to the center, lost an extra $ 17 on parking in the city center, lost our nerves at the checkout desk and writing this review and most of all we lost TRUST in your Institution and MTL passport. I think you can do better than treating visitors like s*... and second-class people. It was not a nice experience, I will not be back again. For the future, just tell the truth, it doesn't hurt. Trust is also a currency. One of my worst customer service experiences at MTL.

Le Centre Phi est un bel endroit si on veut faire une petite visite calme du Vieux-Montréal. J'y suis allé le 25 mars dernier avec une amie et j'ai bien aimé. J'ai eu la chance de voir l'exposition Lignes parallèles. Je m'attendais à plusieurs salles au lieu d'une, mais le nombre d'expositions à l'intérieur de celle-ci était plutôt bien. Ce qui est très intéressant c'est qu'une grande majorité des œuvres sont interactives. De plus, les mesures sanitaires sont aussi très bien respectées, des stations de gel désinfectant sont installées un peu partout, la distanciation est facilement respectable et le couvre-visage doit être porté en tout temps. Finalement, le personnel est très accueillant, bien que nous sommes laissés à nous même lors de la visite. Si vous ne disposez pas d'un grand budget et d'énormément de temps, je vous recommande fortement d'aller voir cette belle exposition.

J’ai visité le Centre Phi le jeudi 25 mars 2021 et je suis satisfaite de mon expérience. Dès mon entrée dans l’établissement, les informations nécessaires pour me rendre à l’exposition et le fonctionnement m’ont été transmises rapidement. L’exposition que j’ai vue est Lignes parallèles. Malgré que la visite se fait seule et de manière autonome (sauf rendu à l’exposition en réalité virtuelle), des employés sont sur place pour s’assurer que les mesures sanitaires sont respectées et ils sont disponibles pour répondre aux questions qui pourraient vous venir en tête. Les employés sont sympathiques et bien informés sur les œuvres. Super ! Pareil pour les mesures sanitaires, certaines œuvres nécessitaient d’être touchées et du désinfectant à main était à la disposition juste à côté. Les deux mètres de distance étaient faciles à respecter, car c’était un temps assez calme. Je recommande fortement cette belle exposition, mais il n'est pas nécessaire de prévoir plus de 60 minutes pour faire le tour de cette exposition.

This was our first visit to this amazing museum, and we were not disappointed.
Their current Emergence & Convergence exhibit was immersive and a lot of fun. The entire visit was about 1.5 hours and kept my 8-year-old engaged throughout.
We had the first projection room to ourselves for nearly half an hour and social distancing was easy.

The Phi Centre perfectly blends new innovation with artistic flair. I went to the VR cinema and loved the concept so much that I came back for the Hum(AI)n and Jim Carrey exhibition. It breaks down the typical museum/exhibit experience which can be quite distant to fully involving the visitor in the creative process.

Really enjoyed their virtual reality exhibit. Allow about 3 hours to do everything. Even got to design our own perfume based on our personality after doing a questionnaire. A machine makes it in front of you and you get to take home a small bottle for free. Also enjoyed the Jim Carrey exhibit with his drawings. Cool museum for teens. Impressed by number of staff throughout exhibit to assist you with the experiences. Located in Old Montreal area.

Phi Centre was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. It is a gem hidden in plain sight and worth every penny. My boyfriend and I were looking for something to do on our last day in Montreal and after reading tripadvisor reviews we decided to give the HUM(AI)N exhibit at Phi a shot - it was fantastic! I've never experienced virtual reality before and was absolutely blown away by the different stories/scenes. You are immersed in a variety of scenarios that are impossible to imagine; one is a gymnasium with balls bouncing everywhere while a puppet sings and another can only be described as street punk. And the others.... well, best to see what happens for yourself! Go! One of most awesome things I have ever done and would love to do again!!
