The trail is very close to the lake so the snow may be gone but there has been alot of snow across BC this year.

Hi Ela. I think in summer it's only supposed to take 20-30 minutes each way. I'd estimate it's 3/4 of a mile to a mile tops each way. We hiked it in the middle of winter so the snow made it a bit trickier. Probably took us closer to 40 minutes each way with the snow. There were a few spots with the snow that were slick and up/down hills where had to grab onto a tree or branch to keep balance. The trail is pretty clearly marked even with the snow for the most part. There's signs with a hiker figure on them sticking out above the snow. I did slip once or twice on a rock under the snow but landed on my knees. If in decent shape I'd say older people could do for sure in the summer (though I myself haven't hiked it in the summer, but assume it would be easier) and most likely in the winter. Maybe just make sure have sturdy boots and allow a little extra time so not rushed. Hope that helps :)

I wouldn't advise taking dogs on these trails, may attract some wildlife!
